A regretted visit...

We were regular customers until our visit today. Food was tasty as usual but the seating arrangement was awful. The elderly waitress led us to a table to the rear of the restaurant where one is required to 'duck' under a low partition to the next section of seating. We were given the end table... read more

We use this venue for birthday lunches for our staff. The club sandwich is often dry - the menu could could be improved upon.

Saturday night and this lovely character pub is virtually empty, what a shame. Can't help thinking that it has something to do with the miserable faced barman! In front of customers he was boasting to a junior bartender how they are always short staffed and to rub it in he had deliberately overbooked the restaurant the following day, what a... More

We decided to go for lunch at the washford this weekend and I'm glad we did. There was a lovely little dining area outside, it was sheltered so the sun wasn't beaming down on us but it was still warm, airy and fresh. We had to order our food and pay at the bar beforehand which we prefer (I think... More

Gone downhill I'm afraid. Food good but service terrible . Gone off badly lately, we're now going to The Blue Inn regularly instead.

I often have the odd pint in this pub so decided to have lunch here. On visiting I was happy with the setting and the fact that there were several seats. The bar staff was very friendly and as I looked at the menu I was a little disappointed with the lack of adventure. In order to increase my choice... More

This wasn't our first time here and we're usually happy with the food here. This time we were seated and noticed that the walls are dirty with gravy splattered on them- nothing that couldn't be cleaned. The paint is chipping also but waiter said they are having a refurb. The pork was delicious. Tender. The lady who served us our... More

my father in law ordered the wild bore and mushroom pie and instead of telling him they didn't have it in stock they just brought him out a steak and kidney pie!!! No apology or anything. I mean what the hell?? What sort of place does that!!?? If you order something you don't expect to get something completely different without... More
