Guess that quality doesn't come cheap!

My wife and I used to have lunch there on a regular basis, but the meal costs seems to be going up on a regular basis (along with drinks - especially the wine!) well above inflation and as a result, our visits have become less frequent. Putting this to one side, they do serve first class food... read more

We've been eating at La Brasserie ever since it opened many years ago. It has had several owners over the years. The first proprietor-chef was excellent and it has returned to those standards. Four of us were celebrating my wife's birthday and the table was ours for the evening. The choice was good with a fixed price menu or a... More

As always an excellent meal, good choices and well presented. It was my husband's birthday and even though in the middle of the week it was busy. Staff were attentive, without being intrusive and we both enjoyed our choice of meals,

We've been to La Brasserie several times now, the last time on my birthday and we're going again this week. The food is consistently excellent as is the service. I would recommend this restaurant to everybody, you'll have a lovely meal!

This restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, with very pleasant staff. An excellent selection of dishes available for all three courses. The food is of a very high standard and was excellent. Can recommend the bread & butter pudding, it was delicious!!!!! Wine is quite pricey however when buying by the glass, would probably be better to buy a bottle.

This even went very ell from start to finish. Food was excellent as usual, even though new staff they knew what to do. The prices of their drinks could do with looking at, especially the soft drinks for drivers

I haven't been to The Brasserie for some time but last week my wife took me there to celebrate my birthday. The food as usual was excellent. I had Cesar Salad and Halibut, my wife had clams and Beef Stroganoff. It was all as good as ever it's been. One interesting observation was the staff, they were all more mature... More

The restaurant is comfortable with a cosy atmosphere. The staff are attentive and helpful and the food is excellent. We chose our meals from a 2-course lunch menu which was good value at, I think, £10.95. Overall a good lunchtime experience.
