Positives: nice decor in pub. Lovely play area outside for children. Negatives: sold out of many of the dishes before 8pm. Very slow service. Food overpriced and nothing special. Had to wait over an hour for puddings to arrive. Would I return? No.

Decor is a mixture of traditional and contemporary, which is nice and the outdoor space and play area is ideal for families with plenty of seating. However, it's let down by slow service and attitude from kitchen which is only redeemed by pleasant service from waiting staff. Despite being a sunny Saturday evening only three tables were occupied so atmosphere... More

My husband and I had a wonderful Sunday lunch last week. Succulent beef, tender chicken and excellent fresh veg with a large Yorkshire on both meals. The gravy was the best we have tasted. Well done Kerry and Trina, even though the pub was really busy on such a sunny day we had excellent service.

The Robin Hood is a friendly, welcoming, well run country pub. Owners & staff polite, courteous & can't do enough for you. Food is second to none with generous portions. Home-made food at its best and tastes delicious. Beer garden plenty of room, outside bar and a fantastic sun trap patio area. We always return to the Robin Hood time... More

We went as a group at the weekend and had a terrible experience. The waiting staff were not organised and didn't seem interested in their jobs. We had a meal brought to the table that we hadn't ordered but thery refused to take it back to the kitchen??? It was a shame that when we raised our concerns the bar... More

We too are regulars at The Robin Hood and have always had excellent meals, freshly cooked and waited on by friendly staff. We popped in late last Tuesday and only had a couple of starters (goats cheese and fish goujons) but these were served with the same consideration as if we had had a full meal. Sunday lunch there is... More

Enjoyed a very well prepared meal in lovely surroundings. Busy even mid-week with locals and regulars which is always a good sign. Staff very friendly and even got given some racing tips!! Would recommend for typical country pub atmosphere.
