Better than average pub grub

This place was recommended by a friend so we gave it a go for mid-week lunch. I was very impressed by the real ale range on the bar & both the Enville ales were in tip top condition. There is a nice choice of food on the menu and the specials board offered something a bit different. We both had... read more

Visited the Robin Hood today (11th) with two friends, one of which was celebrating his birthday. We entered the pub around 1 wearing outdoor clothing, as we had recently ridden and to my surprise we were made perfectly welcome. Aaron and myself had not eaten here before and thoroughly enjoyed the meals in which were obviously cooked to order. I... More

We came here for Sunday lunch with friends .We had not been before so we were not sure what it would be like . The pub is lovely with real open fires and a great country pub atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us ,we had two little children with us and they made sure... More

We have visited here several times over the years and have always said we would write a review but never got round to it. However, tonight we can't let this excellent meal pass. We arrived late afternoon and managed to get a table before the Saturday evening rush. There is an excellent range of real ales and enjoyed a number... More

Booked up in October for a family Christmas Dinner based on reviews for the normal menu / service and we were not disappointed. We were greeted with a Merry Christmas upon arriving, and after being shown to our table had drinks and starters served promptly. The starters of Soup and Pate were of a good portion and very tasty. When... More

We visited the pub for Sunday lunch after it had been recommended as family friendly by some friends. The outdoor play area is amazing and it has a huge garden for when the weather is good. The food was good with large portions however we did feel very cramped in such a small dining room. We had numerous drinks knocked... More

We had popped in when passing before and thought it looked good for food so for a family get together I booked a table for Sunday Lunch, they did explain when I called that the only available table was in the bar but that didn't worry me at all. The staff were great (especially lady behind the bar who kept... More

Ok, so we only had a bowl of chips & some drinks so I can not comment on the food. But Defo worth a mention as this pub has such a lovely outside area. Beautiful setting on a warm afternoon. Lots of children happily playing together. Super play area & football posts. Almost like a park within a pub! Will... More
