Another pleasant lunch

Quite a reasonable lunch in pleasant surroundings except for a table with loud voices who seemed to want the whole pub to know what they were saying , Ciabattas were tasty and chips very nice, drinks I felt were a little overpriced. Did not like the question are you guys ok by the the waitress just... read more

Enjoyed a lovely couple of glasses of wine and a chilaxing afternoon in the sun surrounded by open countryside. There is a separate play area for children. An outside BBQ and bar area doubles up as a stage where intermittent entertainment is staged. Have not eaten here but would recommend for a lazy sunny afternoon for drinks. Very popular for... More

We've visited the pub on numerous occasions but only ever for a drink. Lovely outdoor space with plenty of room for the kids to run around. Indoor space is limited for drinkers but plentiful for diners. I must add at this point that the place is always full of people eating which in itself tells its own story. The menu... More

This is how any parent would wish a pub to be. A fantastic play area and field for the kids to play in while you sit and relax or join in. You can easily watch them from the outdoor eating area. The kids had cod and chips - crisp, fresh crunchy batter around a fresh, succulent piece of cod that... More

Very nicely presented meal, only downside for me was the cost, I thought £11 a bit expensive with an extra £6 for a starter or dessert (prawn cocktail looked good though). The young helpers appeared to not be able to keep orders and tables straight, I'm sure this will improve over time. Recommended. Sorry the photo was a bit late.

Top end pub prices. Average seven pound starters. Too much salt in all dishes. Lovely decor and grounds.

We moved to Australia many years ago and it was a pleasure to take my not quite so young mum here for lunch. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. The food was was great - no ordinary pub grub at all. They were kind enough to cryo pack some dressed crab to take home to my disabled dad.

This is just the loveliest place to be on a sunny day, outside dining and lovely surroundings. Large field and play area for children to burn off steam. Plenty of outdoor seating (though could do with more parasols). Food here is not your normal pub grub, it is so much better. We were only there for a light bite so... More

Great park for kids, good tasty food. Kids meal at £6 is too much but my 2 toddlers shared and it was enough for them. My Cajun chicken sandwich was lovely and everyone happy with food but the staff!! Oh my word...tutting and sighing when placing an order. I hope the manager reads these reviews as it seems to be...
