Had a fantastic Sunday lunch here today as a family get together. All of our meals were of great quality, taste and were well presented. Everyone cleaned the plates from start to finish and even a couple of us somehow managed 2 puddings afterwards. We were all somewhat stuffed upon leaving!! Great atmosphere and surroundings and the waiter (whom I... More

Can't believe I am in the same restaurant as Sculpterman. This restaurant is without doubt Fab. The food is so consistent, starters wonderful and main courses without doubt lovely, sweet trolley yummy including the tiramusu which is delicious. The staff are without doubt so friendly and attentive (never rude). In the last 9 years it has never faultered.

I have been coming to this restaurant for almost 40 years – and the quality has always been wonderful. Today I visited for Sunday lunch, and, despite being fully booked, the service was as welcoming and the food as delicious as ever. Our party had a variety of starters (prawns in pineapple, garlic mushrooms and baked black pudding) all very... More

A Birthday meal for a party of 10 was the setting for this bombshell of an evening, What started out promising soon turned sour and and distasteful as the food itself. The evening was a five course meal,Preceded with a `Herb/garlic` Baguette which was very tasty. This was followed with a starter ....again a very nice dish depending on your... More

Hidden away from the high street this is truly our finest restaurant. We normally save it for special occasions. As it is such a treat John the Chef makes superb food and this is supported by his father and a Dutch lady who provide a wonderful service, a very homely feel with wonderful food. What more can I say apart... More

We visited this restaurant on 12th December 2014. They were offering a 5 course all inclusive meal. The menu was short but simple and with good choices. I went for the lamb and my partner the duck. Both meals were beautifully cooked and well presented. No art nouveau portions here! We cleaned our plates, drooled over the sweet trolley from... More

I think this is my 8th visit, and its always superb! Started with a smoked duck breast starter, followed by wonderful roast beef with all the trimmings, at this point I was getting full as the portions are large. BUT I did manage two amazing sweets from the trolley! Great food, great service and lovely atmosphere....what more do you want??
