We recently visited this establishment , and were impressed with it's overall appearance. On the down side , we found our choice of drinks to be extortionate. We then ordered from the £12-95 three course set menu, only to be told that our choice of main course , ( 10oz Rib eye steak ) had a supplement of £3 per... More

We had a family get together here on a Saturday evening. The place was full when we arrived at 7.30. I was impressed with the ambience of the place. If you want quick service and food don't go to this place.when the food did arrive it was lovely, probably the best meal ive had in a restaurant/pub. I had the... More

Went to the plough very impressive inside and out to which I've been many times and found that slowly but surely it's loseing it reputation for a fine Nite out . But on the 17th of this month ( feb) it was really off , paid £36 for two 3 course carverys & 2 small glass of wine , took... More

The Plough used to be really good both in terms of food quality and value for money. It's been a while since my last visit and it's going to be even longer til my next. The quality of the " Ultimate Sunday roast " would have been fine if I was paying £5.95 but £11.95 for soggy spuds and parsnips... More

Not been for a while and refurbishment really opened the rooms up. We usually go at night but opted for a lunchtime visit to avoid the crowds. Limited menu but it was lunchtime. Plenty of choice on carvery and generous serving of meat. We had three courses and staff kindly pointed out the carvery saving for our age range. Good... More

Last night I took two of my grandchildren for a meal at The Plough Inn. We loved the food, the service and the ambiance. Thank you.

i have visited this restaurant many of times over the past few years. and i can honestly say every time i go it gets worse! to the point that i will not be returning again. £10.95 is totally unreasonable for a carvery. 6 meats? there were only 2! and the potatoes and vegetables were terrible. its a real shame because... We went here on a Monday lunch time, so not that busy. We all had the carvery the serving of meat was more than generous. You help yourself to vegetables an extensive selection. One small problem they had to top up the roast potatoes and unfortunately they were really under done. The desert menu is very limited. The waitress cleared... More

We went to The Plough for a 30th Wedding Anniversary, there were around 20 of us. We had reserved a side room. It was a fantastic night service was excellent, food was excellent and value for money. The staff could not do enough for us and went the extra mile for all our little requests. Couldn't recommend the Plough more.... More
