Delicious dinner, lovely lovely place

Just had the best dinner here with my mum. Amazing blade of beef with dauphinois potatoes - so tender and full of flavour, and a delectable apple pie with the perfect pastry. Great staff, great ambiance and would whole heartedly recommend this place. Go go go!

My partner and I had a meal here for the first time on Thursday evening. The staff were friendly and attentive and the portions were large and tasty. We'll be coming back because A) it's a good place to eat/drink and B) it's only a 5 minute walk away! Our new local Inn has been found.

Been here twice now based on reviews. First visit we had to return one of the main meals as it was undercooked (it was pork, so didn't want to risk being ill) They did not offer to reduce the bill. We were asked to move when we'd finished our meal, they needed the table. They moved us to a seat... More

Visited the Hop Pole with friends twice over Christmas. The first time was one of their music nights, after only just managing to pre book a table (as I left it so late) we were led to our table right on time as promised (9pm as they had a first sitting on there to turn around). Very impressed with the... More

We were meeting up with family for a Saturday lunch and as we're not really 'local' booked the Hop Pole @ Bewdley on the basis of Tripadvisor reviews alone and wasn't disappointed. We were a party of 8, which included 4 children. Made this clear when booking, and its obvious that consideration is made to cater for families and other... More

Previous visits HAVE been better, and deservedly got a 5* rating. This time however, a bit lacking. Choice limited, food ok without being spectacular (one meal in particular a disappointment), and service just seemed a BIT diffident this time, without being bad... Please don't let things slip, you've been great in the past, you can't let things slide quality-wise just... More

Nothing has slipped at the Hop. We do a limited menu in the middle bit of Christmas as we go from Christmas food to A la Carte again so takes a bit of changing whilst staying open. This is only because we have such a range of Home made food to prepare. Everything is tip top now everyone is refreshed... More

Have been to eat a number of times and the food is always of a high standard. First time we have been for New Years Eve party and the buffett was gorgeous, with puddings to die for. Really lovely evening and all the staff really worked hard to make it an enjoyable evening.

Something for everyone. This is a real pub as opposed to Mr Wetherspoons variety. Food cooked to order and real beers on tap. Sunday lunch is divine however a quick sandwich (fish finger) is fabulous.

Went on Christmas Eve very cold in pub so asked them to put heating on. They gave a small heater that helped. Food was ok but soup was terrible. Rest was average probably won't return which was a shame as we were recommended to go.

I'm sorry you left feeling like this. Christmas is always so busy and where we get it right most of the time I'm sorry this wasn't the case for you. With the weather being so mild the heating hasn't very often switched itself on. I'm pleased we did something about it though. We'd of been delighted to of swopped the... More
