Party of 12 people on a stag weekend. The restaurant was very accommodating especially as the stag was dressed as a Navaho Indian. The pub has a great atmosphere, food and great service. Highly recommend.

The starter presentation could have been better, cesar salad with a whole chicken breast sitting on a bowl of lettuce, it was tasty but really could have been presented better. But the reason the reveiw is "very good" was the steaks. We ordered "rare" and they were, cooked to perfection, nicely charred on the outside but lovely and juicy inside,... More

We booked a table here and on arrival we got a round of drinks in. My Worcester Ale was lovely, my husband's Guinness only average. We went into the restaurant where a very ill mannered waitress served all around us. She ignored us for 20 minutes whereupon we left.

Always come here whenever we fancy eating out but close to home. Great home cooked food, great service always. Dog friendly which is always a plus as so many places aren't. Landlords are always thinking of new entertainment ideas to keep the place fun. Sunday carvery is also a must. Nothing is too much trouble. Keep up the good work!

Visited yesterday with our group of 20 Walkers. The welcome was very friendly and attentive and we were made to feel at home. Our food was served fairly soon after our arrival and was most enjoyable and of a high standard. Between us we ordered quite a variety of meals and all were very good. Well worth a revisit.

OK so a warm summers Saturday evening is always going to be busy, but the wait for food was a bit tedious. When it arrived though it was great pub food and difficult to fault. Staff were working very hard but still friendly. The live music was good, but perhaps a bit loud if you wanted to talk to your... More

A lovely welcome greeted us. Order taken promptly, 1 peppered steak special (absolutely delicious) and 1 20oz steak (cooked to perfection). Friendly company and a good pint. All adds up to a fantastic evening. Thanks Richard, Louisa and Adam
