After being impressed with the lunch we had when we visited the town last summer, on the way back from visiting our daughter in Swindon we tried the pub again and we were not disappointed. We were surprised how quiet the place was on a Friday lunch time with only one table occupied when we came in. Our choices, chicken... More

Visited for lunch with friends. The Inn was atmospheric inside with a pleasant courtyard for outdoor dining. We stayed inside as it was rather breezy in the courtyard which was a pity. Wide selection of meals on the menu at reasonable prices together with a good range of beers. The staff were very friendly. The meals were voted as very... More

We made a last minute decision to eat here after a Junior Cricket match had finished. It was a glorious day but there was a choice of tables and we enjoyed a selection of well presented delicious dishes with Pimms for the adults. The Eton Mess was glorious and we all left feeling very well fed. This Inn in the... More

We had a party of nine booked for lunch on a busy Saturday and were treated to a lovely lunch. The menu is not the usual burger and chips but risotto, lamb kofta, lovely salads and desserts. The food was great and service very friendly and helpful. This was most appreciated as we were a large party during a very... More

What a chef, the pub itself is lovely but we expected pub food. We were mistaken, this was one of the best meals I have had, the home made pate was to die for, the beef dish melted in my mouth, wine list was excellent, we will be going to Marlborough again just to eat here.

We stayed overnight and were perfectly happy. Comfortable, friendly people and an excellent breakfast If we'd wanted peace and quiet, I don't think we'd have been that happy. It was a Friday night above a pretty noisy bar in a pretty noisy street next to even noisier pub. But Marlborough is a very interesting old town, the pub is over... More

My partner and I popped into The Lamb for lunch on Sunday 4th May when we were driving through Marlborough on our way back to London. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, we both chose the roast beef. Although the pub itself looks a bit shabby, we were not disappointed by the food when it arrived. It was delicious. There... The quality of the breakfast and the comfort of the bed were wonderful. There was nothing to dislike - everyone was very welcoming.

Ate here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Excellent food and a good range of beers - recommend the Swordfish (beer, not food)!

The pub is rather down at heel looking - BUT the food and service could not have been better. Marlborough is a half way meeting place for me and some friends and we have tried many restaurants in the town. None of them have served food as good as this pub - though all win on kerb appeal! But we... More
