Gary & Gill would like to thank all our customers over the last five years that have supported us, due to Enterprise, the landlords trying to put our rent up from 22k to 34k we are unable to trade any longer and therefore have left the building, at this time we have not moved to a new business but will... Disappointed as we went to have a meal tonight and found premises up for let! What a shame as last review was only 25th June!

My wife and visited this pub/restaurant on a Saturday night. It wasn't hugely busy despite there being a food show on in town on the common. Bit disappointed that one of the main memo items - a stuffed sea bass dish was not available . But overall we had a very good meal and will come back again. Good sea... More

Went here for Father's Day. Really lovely food beautifully cooked and attentive staff. Possibly the best Sunday lunch ever! Nothing negative to say at all and we will be returning at the first opportunity.

We had friends visiting and as we've only just moved to the area we saw the menu outside and popped in to book a table for the evening. Right from the start we were made to feel welcome. We arrived on time, but were not pushed to the table, instead enjoying a drink in the bar first. The menu was... More

Once a year our family 'meet in the middle' coming from Surrey, Dorset & Herefordshire for my parents to collect our kids for a week. We came to The Crown last Summer on a Sunday and had an amazing roast lunch (had we known it was going to be so big, we wouldn't have ordered the starters!). This year, it... More

The staff are very friendly. very generous portions. I had a lovely lemon sole with caper butter. Mussels, fish and chips and burger also good. great stop over on a drive. One course enough! watch out for the old bath used as plant trough.

We've been here a few times and to be honest each time we thought we wouldn't go back in a hurry, not because we didn't like the food which is good and the portions quite large, probably best summed up as upper-end pub food. Prices are reasonable. No, the downside is the lack of atmosphere. It has been rather empty... More

Booked for a family meal while staying in local hotel. Very good hosts and excellent food in a pub atmosphere. Recommend the Asbach Brandy coffees after the meal.

I trusted Trip Advisor on this and it didn't disappoint. It might not look all that on the outside, but don't be put off, this is a great restaurant. Service very friendly, efficient and the food was great. Lovely interior and certainly worth the visit if you are in Marlborough - I have eaten in several of the restaurants in... More
