A dissapointing lunch time.

On our way back from a dancing weekend in Bournemouth decided to call in Marlborough for a snack and went into the tea room instead of the hotel we usually use. The tea room was quite full with a great atmosphere and found a table straight away. Our order was taken as soon as we sat down ( One... read more

If you are visiting Marlborough, please visit The Polly Tearooms. It's delightfully olde worlde, the staff were very welcoming and charming. We selected the breakfasts which were perfectly cooked and then we could not resist a cake from the vast selection, all of which looked scrumptious. The tearoom was very busy but the staff maintained a friendly approach to all... More

As a treat on arriving in Marlborough we went into polly tea rooms planning on having an afternoon tea. The atmosphere and service was lovely but I felt the afternoon tea too expensive so we settles for a cream tea which was really good and worth the money

Great breakfast which you could get cheaper elsewhere but worth it for the old world atmosphere. You might be tempted by the cake counter though!!

Have visited a few times and always received excellent, friendly and professional service. Polly's is right on the High Street and handy if you are like us needing refreshments whilst on your holiday sight seeing visit to the lovely market town of Malborough. They do some lovely cakes all look homemade and scrummy cream teas I love a nice pot... More

We visited for Mothers Day and had the Cream Tea. It was very busy (inevitably) but we felt almost as though we were imposing on the waitress who was very stressed and literally threw our tea onto the table and had no time to engage on any level which was such a shame - it seemed rather like a fast... I visited the Polly for morning coffee on a day trip to Marlborough. Sadly this was not as I remember it from several years ago. The staff seemed uninterested and were inattentive. When ordering I asked for a coffee and then asked for a cake or snack that would be ok for a particular dietary requirement. The waitress answered my... More

Thirty years since I had been to this lovely old town, but first time for my wife. Old fashioned, quaint Georgian buildings lining the high street. Easy to imagine the coaches stopping off to change horses or stay overnight in one of the many hotels on their way to Bath. The Jolly tearooms met the bill exactly after walking both... More

Saturday 21st March 2015, we stopped on our way home from the New Forest for breakfast, the service was excellent, the food great, however I did have a problem (which I will not say to protect them) the problem was minor, just one of those things that can happen, however this left me unable to eat my meal after only a...
