Bloody marvellous

Not cheap but OUTSTANDING. The middle of the countryside location on what seems to be a trading estate next door to a run down garage may seem odd - but don't wrry, the grub and service is, as I said, bloody marvellous! Go, enjoy.

We'd not heard of this restaurant before but was highly recommended by a very good friend - we were not dissapointed. We were greeted by happy, smiley staff and although we were early, were shown straight to our table. Drink, poppadoms and pickles were ordered as we perused the menu, that when problems started - this menu is vast, decisions... More

I when here with friends. The three of us ate here, on a Wednesday night, during May 2015. The staff were helpful, polite and attentive; but not so attentive as to annoy. The restaurant was beautiful, tasteful, with clean white table linen, delicate lighting and soft background music (I don't think it was Asian either). The Indian food, was well... More

In order to survive, let alone thrive, out there in the sticks somewhere between Marlborough and Hungerford you have to be a "destination" establishment. This place is. We did our best on the menu and the dishes were all very varied, and all excellent. It's a strange mix of almost fine dining combined with Indian service and Indian food! The... More

We visited on a Sunday lunchtime with the children. Curry on a Sunday lunchtime evidently isn't a popular option as we were the only people in the restaurant throughout our meal. Between the four of us (including two children) we sampled a range of starters, mains and sides and all the food was, without exception, to a very high standard.... More

The Palm restaurant is absolutely amazing. The food is to die for and easily the best Indian food I have ever tasted. The service is second to none, very attentive and the staff are very friendly. The restaurant is always busy but still has a very relaxed and welcoming feel about it. I have been here a total of 6... More

We booked for 7.30pm had to wait until after 8pm to get our order taken after lots of arm waving, had to go to the bar myself to get a drink. It was also very noisy, acoustically not good. The starters were really good and what we were hoping for (tandoori fish and the scallops) and why not one star,... More

We are lucky in that the restaurant is just 15 minutes away from our door step. However, the food is cracking and the ambience is superb. We eat in the Palm regularly and have takeaways too. The staff are excellent. A real recommendation from a local. You certainly will not be disappointed.
