We had a Wednesday evening meal here and it was absolutely delicious. One of the best meals we've had for a very long time. I had Celeriac soup whilst hubby had mussels to start and then he had paella whilst I had (very excitedly) vegetarian paella. Truly yummy and very lovely to see a vegetarian paella. Staff were very friendly,... More

Throughout our evening meal at the Vine Tree, the service was really excellent: attentive and friendly. All members of our party had very good meals from starters to dessert. all the mains were very well cooked and tasty. The humble house wine proved more than acceptable. This is a place we would all be willing to return to. The only... More

We visited for lunch yesterday as we'd heard good reviews and sat outside on the pretty patio. Tasty hummous and olives to start, then a vegetable and goats cheese tart. Husband enjoyed his steak sandwich too, and the recommended gin and tonics went down a treat. Excellent service from smiley young staff. I hope to eat here again soon.

A foody pub... More

Four of us ate at this wonderful restaurant. I opted for the squid for starters, mixed paella for mains washed down with Estrella lager. It was great as good as in Spain. My wife and friends had various niceties from large choice and also enjoyed. The service was very attentive which culminated in an overall excellent meal.

Popped to the Vine Tree for a meal on Saturday night just gone, yet again had a fantastic meal! The rib-eye steak was cooked to perfection and the chocolate nemesis ensured I left feeling extremely full. Only live around the corner and love having such a great pub on the doorstep.

Took 3 Spanish friends for lunch on Sunday. Wow, Spanish Paella and Spanish cider - did I score "brownie points". What a surprise. I had the roast pork - excellent. Great setting for al fresco lunch, staff friendly and helpful. owners were in evidence and quietly overseeing - perfect place to visit. And in the wet, cold days great interior... More

I called in for a quick drink after a hard day in the saddle. When I got served by the landlord he simply looked at me with no greeting - clearly I was not welcome in sports attire amongst the german cars and flannel jackets. I ordered a simple orange juice and lemonade and after parting with £3.50 for no... More
