We were staying nearby and fortunate enough to walk the public footpaths and find this gem! The food was exquisite with a great selection of traditional British dishes and international cuisine - the perfect Sunday lunch menu! It's hard not to be impressed! Sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. We enjoyed lunch so much we came back again the next... More

Our party of five (three generations) had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. Two of us shared a Chateau Briande which was delicious while the others steered towards some wonderful fresh fish dishes. Even the four yr old found something to his liking. Service was friendly, efficient and helpful. The local beer was particularly good.

We dined here on the first day of our holiday, it had rained all day so as soon as it stopped we decided to go out to eat , but with it being 4 o 'clock most places had already finished serving . As we were walking across the car park one of the waiters spoke & said hello we... More

Excellent Sunday lunch with friends last weekend, I had the crab tian to start followed by rump of lamb, pink as requested, I was particularly impressed by the fact that they had mint and apple jelly, as I hate mint sauce, which normally swamps the flavour of the lamb and everything else. Unfortunately for my waist line I couldn't resist... More

We left booking rather late for 10 of us and arrived on a busy night but still to a very warm welcome. The atmosphere was buzzing but the staff were efficient took our orders quickly and soon we were tucking in to delicious and imaginative food with locally sourced ingredients, and excellent wine. We were superbly looked after all evening... More

Looking for a new venue to celebrate a birthday, I found the Vine Tree on the internet.A real pub restaurant atmosphere with scrubbed wooden tables and a lot of diners for mid-week. Service was not quick but we did not mind as we were enjoying a good chat and the ambience and were almost the last to leave Well presented... More
