Nice birthday treat

Went here for my birthday and took the family. Children are welcomed and their menu offers smaller versions of the adult meals but within reason. Eg there is no small version of the burgers for them but you can get smaller ham, egg and chips. Very nice food but don't ask for alternatives if you... read more

Came out with the Family for Sunday lunch, great food, attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere. Great touch of extra roast potatoes brought to the table, we will return.

Came here for a family lunch on a cold January Saturday. Sat next to a lovely warm fire and soon got the chill out of the bones. We had a variety of dishes - some vegetarian, some to satisfy pescatarian requirements and the rest of us meat eaters a mix of lamb shank, chicken pie and burgers. Well presented, warm... More

We enjoyed a family roast dinner along with some friends. Staff were very friendly and the food was excellent as well as being good value for money. Highly recommended.

Had a nice family meal here, great tasty pub grub at a reasonable cost, the staff are polite and helpful and make you very welcome. The only small issue that evening was the lack of heat in the premises, it was pretty cold outside but the interior of the pub was not much better. A visit is recommended but hopefully... More

A lovely pub with great food and a great feel to it! I've written quite a few reports that have been glowing recently but that doesn't mean I'm easily impressed! Stopped by for a quick pub lunch and wished we could have stayed for longer!! Had a great sharing platter and a few starters to graze on and it was... More

Came here with a freind, staff were lovely & friendly. Good choice of food on the menu. Ordered a buger (£10.50 which is enough) and sausage and mash, both meals were well presented were lovely! Only quibble would be we ordered brownie for dessert and it wasn't a brownie atall, more of a slice of chocolate fudge cake.

Come here quite often for the ham egg and chips, all very fresh and I really enjoy the food, only downside is sometimes the service is quite slow. Very friendly and reliable for good food though.

Visited this establishment with two friends for an early evening meal. We had a shared starter followed by pies all of which were of a good quality though one of my friends had to wait a bit for her pie to come out so she insisted we started our meals which were lovely.
