Four of us visited the George and Dragon for lunch with a travel zoo voucher. We will be returning to have the excellent fixed price lunch in the future. No more to add really, thank you to all the staff there for a lovely lunch.

We had a really lovely three course meal, which we had a voucher for but could still pick of the menu, there was plenty of choice and even if you are not a lover of fish there is still other dishes to choice from, my husband and myself could not fault any of the course all were perfectly cooked and... We had a very nice meal here and although we had a voucher this made no difference, the staff were very pleasant and the choice was from an interesting a la carte menu. But, the vegetables for the main course are all charged as side dishes, which I personally dislike especially when the prices are quite high. My husband had... More

The promise of an Egon Ronay star/AA recognised fish restaurant attracted us here, but the reality on arrival was disappointing. Unlike the website sample, the menu on the day had few fish dishes apart from' fish and chips' and some overpriced 'top of the range' lobster and crab dishes. Perhaps the 'daily delivery' from Cornwall had not arrived that day.... More

The ambiance is wonderful. Very old pub style, with a big dark wooden bar and a classic huge fireplace. My fish was tasty and well breaded but still translucent inside, being undercooked. As a sushi-lover, this was fine by me but it may not be for others. Service was slow, but this may be because they were gearing up for... More

My husband and I finished a lovely day out by having a meal in this restaurant. Although we had purchased the meal through a voucher site, so the cost was reduced, it made no difference to how we were welcomed. The meal and service was absolutely lovely and we have no hesitation in saying we will visit again.

I last went to this place over 15 years ago, so when we happened to be driving back from Devizes later than expected and getting hungry, I suggested we stop and see what it's like these days.... Very good decision.... As walk-ins, we had a table in the bar, which was fine. Drinks and menus were on the table in... More

We have visited this highly acclaimed pub/restaurant on a couple of occasions and still are not convinced as to how it lives up to its name. Food is excellent - when it arrives. Fish is a speciality and good choice, but £48.00 for a lobster dish is rather toppy for a rural restaurant in the wilds of Wiltshire. The last... More

The food at this pub restaurant is better than most BUT is it worth the money? I guess the question is how much you like better than average food and how much money you have. There are plenty of mains in excess of £20 but the annoying thing is that you then have to pay extra for the vegetables. As... More

Initial impressions on drawing up outside were not good, the building looked very tired & in desperate need of some TLC but once inside all my fears were washed away. Fantastic greeting & pleasant, efficient service from the minute we entered Great food with some interesting choices & excellent value for money Thank you for a lovely evening!
