Impromptu night out

We have driving past this pub dozens of times in the past, but being fairly local we have always sought dining venues further afield. However, we were both very impressed with the quality of the food. My duck breast was perfectly cooked, slightly pink, accompanied by a lovely sauce and potato... read more

We stayed locally for a wedding and had dinner one night and lunch the next day. Very pleasant staff, excellent and prompt service and very good food. What's not to like?

I visited with a friend on a Monday evening, we had booked, I would advise this as it did fill up fairly quickly. The décor is lovely, really quaint, we were shown to our table immediately and the waiting staff were attentive and friendly. The menu is fairly typical of modern pub food at the moment, the obligatory burger, fish... More

An after work drink on a Monday evening. Place is quite busy. The walk in from the rear car park is always interesting in this place... One is greeted with toilet smells and the trail of toilet all over the floor. The walk to the bar gets better, but the toilet smell is constant throughout the pub. This needs sorting... More

We have eaten here a few times and it has always been good. Ate here with friends on Saturday evening and was not disappointed. The food is above average, interesting menu and well cooked, presented and tasty. Particularly enjoy their Cocktails of the Week which are always worth trying. Staff are friendly and attentive. One of our favourite restaurants in... More

This venue was suggested as a place for a Christmas get together that was convenient the people from our area. We were about 20 in number so was looking forward to a pleasant evening. I guess the references on entrance door to inclusion on Michelin Guide for at least the last five years should have given clue but I can... More

I came across The Potting Shed by accident - just happened to stop for a quick bite. What a find! Delicious food, excellent service and >40 different gins on the board. Will definitely be back for a 'planned' visit

As a local pub this place excels. As a restaurant it works very well and it's constantly changing menu of obviously fresh produce takes into account budgets, ages and tastes while not running to long lists of food requiring freezing and storage. The excellent veggie Lentil main course that my partner had was served with a clever eye on presentation... More
