A foody pub - good choice of ales- stretches the budget

Food very good - but tad expensive. A feeling that "regulars" get priority over passing trade. An interesting & quirky restaurant set up - artefacts were interesting however they must have raided some waste skips for the pictures on show . Stopped here having been given a recommendation. This really is a tidy well kept business. Really comfortable atmosphere with a good cross sectio of regulars and diners. Good range of beers and spirits. Staff very attentive without being over fussy. My only complaint was I didn't have time to go back in the evening. I shall return.

The shed is a rather special place. The food is very good and reasonably priced for a gastro pub in the Cotswolds. The ambience is upbeat, positive and youthful, in overall terms, a great place to spend an evening.

Dined here twice, as it was 100yards away from the rectory hotel we were staying at. We were not disappointed at all,the food was so good, and Thankyou for this. The staff were very friendly without being invasive . With no mistake, we will be back.

Lovely pub in a stunning position, sat out in the pub garden on a sunny day drinking Pimms (and a very well made one at that) - life doesn't get much better. Service was excellent always checking we were ok for drinks/top ups etc. However our 2 course meal was un-impressive to say the least. Amazing ingredients, well presented, but... More

Recently had dinner here with friends.Staff were attentive without being intrusive and the food was very tasty.Became really busy towards the end of our evening, but we were in no way "rushed" to be finished and out of the door so as to make the table available for more diners,in fact quite the opposite and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening... Yesterday I had to meet a client who was a bit pushed for time, but wanted to view a car I had for sale - Crudwell was the ideal half way meeting point. My wife suggested The Potting Shed and that she would come to keep me company!!! We had heard and read about the place, but had never been... More

We visited 3 years ago and were very impressed. This time round the same relaxed ambience and same sunny weather even the same table for lunch but the eating experience was disappointing and rather mediocre! The food was edible but nothing special and the asparagus and bean risotto was swamped by big dollops of strong pesto! The cauliflower cheese and... More

I booked a table for four, knowing little about this place. Upon arrival, the decor, pictures and small, well-stocked bar instantly gave a positive impression. The friendly bar staff welcomed us to our table next to the bar, an accessible table as requested, and the small menu - seven or eight choices per course - reassured us this pub would... More
