Anniversary

From the moment we stepped through the door we both thought that we were in for a treat. We were not disappointed. It was very special.

I've been a (fairly regular) visitor here for the last 5+ years. Never have I had a bad meal, or a course that didn't make me smile. Whilst all the food is exceptional, the pastry chefs need an extra special mention for consistently producing truly sublime deserts and petit fours. I can't wait to go back!

We had a delicious meal in this restaurant.Beautiful surroundings and delicious food. Started out sitting and having drinks at a fireplace and then moved into the dining room. Then back to the fireplace for dessert and coffee. Lovely service, great surroundings .

A dozen of us had dinner just before Xmas and had a fantastic evening. The restaurant set aside a perfect table that was big enough for us all without creating problems for the other diners. The staff were also very helpful and attentive. The food, as you would expect, was delicious. Although there were some fancy names of things you'd... More

Everything about our visit was simply wonderful. From the approach to the absolutely stunning building right through to our departure. The service was attentive without being intrusive, the food was like art with beautiful flavours, textures and presentation... It was an experience I'll never forget (and will look forward to repeating in the future!)

OK, because I know this is a Michelin star establishment, I will be super critical of the food and service in a way that I would not be if I was eating at my local pub. Always great reception on arrival. We were directed to the bar to take a seat. Lovely lounge but a bit chilly (french doors open... More

Simply an excellent place for a treat. Everything, the food, the service the atmosphere and the setting is beautiful. And, for the standard of the food it isn't overly expensive.

We go to the Bybrook restaurant once or twice each year for a celebration lunch with friends. The men tend to like it more than the women, enjoying the view of the house as you approach across the little bridge, and the setting of the hotel. Sometimes the women feel the place is overpriced and a bit pretentious, with food... More

We went for my wife's Birthday. It was a fantastic experience. A wonderful welcome, then pre dinner drinks and canapés in the bar. Then the excellent tasting menu with wine parings. Everything was perfect. The service is outstanding. This is a place that understands customer service, they adapt to individual customers and it's therefore far more relaxing and not stuffy.... Beautiful location, ample parking, good service, excellent food and what wonderful woodwork! Visiting in December has the added attraction of Christmas tree, charming log carved reindeer and a welcoming log fire. Very good policy for the restaurant to phone us before our reservation to check any dietary requirements which was repeated by the waiting staff on the day.
