Been going here a long time but in recent years we've noticed a real decline in standards.. The prices go up but the quality has gone well down. We'll not bother with this place any more as any random pub provides the service this place does but at much cheaper prices for food. If you pay top rate you expect... More

We have been visiting this establishment for many years and were always very happy with the food we have received, but tonight changed everything. As mentioned in other reviews the changed menu is uninspiring and the quality of the food tonight definitely did not match the price we paid. If the food remains at the standard we had tonight it... We have passed the OHH many times (it always seeming packed), but somehow never thought of booking a table. We decided to try it on one of our regular Friday evening dinner outings. Let's start with the positives: Fantastic ambience - 10/10 Heavenly and well presented main courses (duck breast and bavette steak [skirt]) - 10/10 Tasty dessert (affogato) -... More

I had booked the restaurant to celebrate the husband's 70th birthday, after his formula ford single seater drive at Castle Coombe circuit - most important that, as he is still shaking. Unfortunately, my sat-nav (and sat-nag) didn't quite know its left from right so drove the wrong way - it even told me that my final destination was on the... More

Had understood that the food was good here but we could not access the pub. Rang before we made the booking and was told that there was a ramp! But it is a very very steep ramp so not able to use it. Landlord did offer to help but apart from doing a fireman's lift it was impossible for my... More

Car park beside pub. Nice building in traditional style. Standard pub menu with open kitchen so you can watch if you want. Food well cooked at reasonable prices. Good draught beer. Worth booking at weekend.

I have been going to OH@H for over 15 years and it was my favourite restaurant/pub ever. Went back at the weekend and although the food was still delicious it it not quite the same. Had the figs with parma ham and blue cheese for starters which was delicious and my partner had the salmon scotch egg. For main I... More

We recently went for sunday lunch to this inn for my husband's birthday. The atmosphere was lovely, a typical Old English inn with lots of beams and candlelight on each table. Our expectations were high. We ordered Roast lamb. The lamb was so underdone it was almost raw and cut so thick it was difficult to chew. The roast potatoes... More

An impromptu meal out. The first time we have tried OHH and we only live a few miles away. Excellent food, drinks and service. You get what you pay for. The steak was excellent and the staff were very happy to provide sautéed potatoes to cater for my gluten free diet. My wife had a beautiful piece of fish and... More

As a customer of 25 years, it was with dismay that I realised they had changed the menu, I was a massive fan of the Cordon Bleu sauce with my steaks, whilst my companion adored the woodland duck. The children in the party were not at all impressed with the mussels but as there was not an R in the... More
