Great food at reasonable prices

This is a lovely pub and the food was very good indeed. It took a little while to be served but it was well worth the wait. I'd certainly eat here again

The Star Inn was warm and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and showed us to our table with no waiting. Drinks were brought almost straight away. The meals were delicious, hot and very well presented. Would definitely dine there again if in the area.

Nice log burning stove too if you just want a quiet drink. Weekday meals are... More

On a wet and windy Wednesday met up with 2 friends for a pre-Christmas catch up. The chef couldn't have been more accommodating and let us choose the Tapas for 2 and made a selection for the 3 of us. All cooked to order and all were delicious. Great value and really enjoyed the food. Our waitress was very helpful... More

Firstly my apologies for not enjoying your visit to The Star. It is always my aim for customers to leave my pub having had a pleasant experience. I'm afraid, I personally was away on holiday when you came so did not see the meals that were supplied to you. Having spoken to the staff working that day, they believe it... More

Visited The Star on a friends recommendation and absolutely loved it. We all had a 'trio of pies' which were all delicious and excellent value. Very friendly staff and we were served quickly. Will definitely be going back!

We visit the Star on a regular basis and always find good home cooked food at areasonable price. We visited for the Valentines Tapas evening. We got a glass of prosecco each on arrival. Went with friends for a late Sunday dinner, the staff and owners were really friendly and the meat and potato pie was loved by everyone who had it. All the veg was freshly cooked and the wine was great value
