Firstly my apologies for not enjoying your visit to The Star. It is always my aim for customers to leave my pub having had a pleasant experience. I'm afraid, I personally was away on holiday when you came so did not see the meals that were supplied to you. Having spoken to the staff working that day, they believe it... More

Visited The Star on a friends recommendation and absolutely loved it. We all had a 'trio of pies' which were all delicious and excellent value. Very friendly staff and we were served quickly. Will definitely be going back!

We visit the Star on a regular basis and always find good home cooked food at areasonable price. We visited for the Valentines Tapas evening. We got a glass of prosecco each on arrival. The food was to it's usual high standard. Good portions of each of the dishes. We opted for a fish and vegetarian tapas all of which was... More

Went with friends for a late Sunday dinner, the staff and owners were really friendly and the meat and potato pie was loved by everyone who had it. All the veg was freshly cooked and the wine was great value

We had our work Xmas lunch here on the 23rd December. Not one complaint. Everything was good, the service, the staff and the 3 course lunch was excellent. Their evening menu looks very tempting and I notice they have 'special' nights during the week - Monday, Burger and Pint. Wednesday, Pie Night. Friday Fish and Chip Night. I will certainly... More

A great pub with great beer. Sorry I cannot say anything bad about this place, nor can my daughter and her family. Always have had a great meal, and, if our grandchildren want something special, with enough notice they will help you out. Real leather sofas, no games machines or juke boxes, is that the right name for them now?... More

What a lovely find. Great friendly service, fresh tasty food and excellent value for money, in a really pleasant environment. Menu main courses are two for one, with a good selection to choose from. It looks like they do specials on different nights and Friday was fish night, with a couple of really nice options. The food was lovely and... More

Have eaten at the Star on a few occasions over the past few weeks and have been impressed on every visit. Excellent food, a good pint of real ale, and friendly service. They also have a huge well kept beer garden hidden round the back. Well worth a visit!
