What a little gem. Have been to this time warped amazing pub too many times to count, our friends that we've taken loved it too. Old decor, out in the hills... Fabulous. Always busy, always enjoyable. They let dogs inside and are do friendly it's great. Food just never falters, staff are wonderful. Oh and there's 100 whiskeys! A real... More

Great food, good service, friendly staff, great environment. Been coming in for a few years now and have seen the change in ownership from father to son. Really nice family and you can tell the passion they have for customer service and food. The chef is relatively new but he is absolutely excellent, really really good food. But on occasion... More

Booked a table two weeks before Mothers Day to prevent disappointment. Arrived at 2.30pm to be told to sit anywhere that was free. A table had not been reserved. Only two tables were available, one in the corridor by the bar, and one directly in front of the roaring fire. After a long walk, we were ready for a roast... More

The location of this remote pub is stunning, and there was a warm welcome from an open log burning fire but the interior needs a good spruce up. You are greeted, on entering, with a table selling cake, bagged up sweets and, what I think were fried pigs ears! We had haggis to start and our mains were liver and... More

What a fab place to eat a glorious meal with friends on a cold, winter evening.. Recently ate at Michelin starred Walnut Tree but this food was hugely superior. Venison loin with celeriac mas was cooked to perfection. All other meals were rated as awesome. Lovely wine, delightful barman and super country pub atmosphere with real fire.
