Never a let down.

We've been here a few times over the past year as it's next door (practically) to the premier inn. The food is always spot on and staff always friendly. We recently had a lovely meal with great service from Joshua. Will definitely be going again on our next visit.

Went for lunch with my family after driving past lots of times and thinking we should try it out. The outside of the building is very attractive, right beside the river. We went hoping we could walk by the river/canal before our meal after reading on their website that it was a good base for a walk. Unfortunately there is... More

Seemed very chaotic - when I went there (9 at night) I was told they could take no food orders for 30 minutes because a 'chef had walked out this afternoon'. It wasn't crowded so how they hadn't got anyone else in I don't know. In the end I persuaded them to serve me soup after a 20 minutes wait... More

Went tonight on a family night out. The ambience was good and staff attentive and pleasant. The food what there was if it was tasty but certainly not value for money. I had the lamb shoulder, as I said tasty but presentation and amount very small. I had to return my plate it was unclean, very efficient but when it... More

Basic pub grub. Acceptable microwave sort of stuff. A little more expensive than the two for a tenner but ok. Bit like the Little Chef in that you know what to expect down to how many peas!!! But, it's a lovely building with log fires, nice and warm and there is a nice smoking shelter outside which is heated and... More

This was our second visit to The Old Mill. Our first was in January and we were so impressed we booked again for Valentines day. We were not disappointed. Fiona and her team went out of their way to make us feel welcome again. Our table was ready when we arrived, right near an open fire, gorgeous setting for a... More
