We stayed at the premier inn next door whilst visiting the area specifically because we knew The Old Mill is so reliable for quality and value. My wife had the 14oz steak on the bone and I had the sea bass and risotto, both of which were superb. The deserts were equally good. The kids were kept entertained with some... More

We couldn't find it as the Sat Nav took us up the wrong road but a call to the place and a friendly helpful voice meant we got there eventually. It was bank holiday Monday and it was fairly busy with quite a few people choosing to sit outside unlike us. Our table was ok in a nice spot and... More

We visited here on easter Saturday as a large party of 20 for lunch. We all thought the food was lovely and the gentleman who served us did a very good job of looking after us and nothing was too much trouble. I personally ate off the lunch menu and had 3 courses for a round £13, excellent value for... More

Me and my dad were nearby and thought to stop by for some food and a drink. Busy Sunday afternoon so we missed the signs informing us to wait to be seated and took it upon ourselves to just sit down. However...as my dad tried to place an order he comes back and tells me we may have to move... More

We stayed at the hotel next door and had an evening meal and lunch the following day. The food was delicious and our two young children cleared their plates! The hospitality upon entering the restaurant was very welcoming. We were shown our table and drinks orders taken quickly. When we'd ordered our good, on both occasions, there was litte wait.... Ventured here with my sister and enjoyed a bottle of wine and a catch up. We both ordered a starter which arrived in a short space of time, I then opted for the lasgane and my sister ordered the slow cooked belly pork (which is what I usually have but fancied a change, whilst the lasagne served with garlic bread... Hearty pub-grub at a responsible price in traditional pub surroundings. It's not fine cuisine, but it is decent food at a good price
