We were looking for a place to eat during the siesta, and didn't have too much expectations. We found this place after looking around in the city a lot and still didn't have too much expectations when we has a look from the outside and looked at the menu. The waiter was extremely kind and the food was quite good.... More

My husband and I celebrated our 5th anniversary here. We loved it so much that we returned the next day for lunch to try their pizza. The gnocchi is outstanding! The pizzas are amazing. I don't remember which pasta dish I had, but the pasta was so fresh and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it!

Greated with welcoming smiles, ushered to a very pleasant shady courtyard and the best was yet to come! Tuscan bruschettas were offered whilst we chose from a very extensive menu. Lots of local foods were on the list showing authentic traditional cooking.A return visit must be on the agenda one day. Highly recommended. Stropino Kid.

I was in Certaldo one day during the first week of January and pretty much everything was closed; the town seemed like a ghost town. I was lucky, though, that Messer Boccaccio was open for lunch. I stopped in and was greeted warmly. It's a large but warm dining room. I had heard so much about the Certaldo onion that... More

We found this restaurant one evening 2 years ago and have eaten there several times since. We were taken by the little walled, lantern lit garden as we turned the corner from the funicular lift. Certaldo Alto is a pretty little place, like stepping back in time and Le Messer Boccacio is a jewel in its crown. The family and... More

We enjoyed some pasta. Pizza was ok too. The place is very nice either the terrace with a nice view or the restaurant indoor. Prices are affordable. The waiters are very polite.

We came for the pizza and the views, but the weather was threatening so we were only able to enjoy the pizza. It was delicious. Thin crust, well portioned toppings and cheese. A genuine Italian pizza with a great location (when the weather lets you sit outside). The house wine was also delightful.

This is what you came to Italy for. My wife and I sat in the garden on a beautiful April evening in 2013 and ate some of the best pizza we've ever had. A liter of the house vino rosso, combined with the excellent service, and our day in Tuscany was complete. The young lady who served us was attentive... More
