Food was just ok, entertainment was great

Went here for a family meal. Atmosphere is more formal than most restaurants with the waiters in uniform and we expected higher quality food. Unlike other places in town, we left knowing we wouldn't come back. The band was fantastic and had everyone on the dance floor - best part of the experience.

My husband and I stayed in a very nice hotel, Casa Bahia, at Playa Marsella. It was located about 20 minutes outside of San Juan del Sur on a rough and rugged road. We wanted to take a taxi to San Juan del Sur to see the town and have dinner and watch a sunset at El Timon restaurant. We... More

A decent enough place but very expensive and certainly better value in sjds . We had 2 fish and chips, the fish was ok but the chips were more like uncooked wedges. It came with side salad which was lightened tasty. We were given free chips n dip which was good and a nice touch. Service whilst not unfriendly was... More

Having lived in San Juan for almost 5 years this is one of my favorite places on the beach for fresh local seafood. The happy hour menu is a fantastic value with $1 drinks and fish carpaccio.

Don't get me wrong, the restaurant has a very nice spot on the beach, live music there was great, however the service was not very effective and food was terrible ! One of the worst we had so far in Central America, and of course one of the most expensive restaurant on in San Juan del Sur... To start with,... More

I had the best seafood stew ever! It was listed as an appetizer, but it is a filling meal alone. Incredible price, great taste, and nice beachfront atmosphere. Do not miss this place if you are in SJDS!

Good seafood selection. We had a whole fried snapper which was very good. A bit pricey for Nicaragua, but had an upscale ambiance. Have at least one dinner here while you are in SJDS.

All around a great restaurant. Nine plus one infant ate for lunch and found a variety of good seafood choices. Great place to eat on the beach. A little pricey based on the other restaurants in short walking distance. They water the sand directly infront of the restaurant which kept all of the blowing sand from coming into the open... More

My girlfriend and I had a great time here on a Thursday night. The host of our lodging suggested it and managed to make a reservation for us. The food was great. We started with a conch cocktail and moved onto lobster and bbq ribs. Both were deliciosu! I can't vouch for the other reviews here, but my lobster was... More

Beautiful view of the bay and some good options for vegetarians. However, a little on the expensive side.
