I have taken groups here for several years for pizza. We have always been pleased. So much of what passes for pizza in Nica. tasts like cardboard. Not the food here. It is excellent. Perhaps this is because the owner is from Italy. I have not tried the pasta dishes but have heard that they are excellent also. Prices cannot... More

Great pizza, good price. But the single serving pizza can easily feed two or more, despite what we were told. Thankfully they were happy to wrap up our extras to go. Very casual, good pizza.

All the staff including the owner of this place are very rude!!!! They treat you very bad as if you were begging for the food instead of paying for it! I will never come back to this place again. To my surprise I called once to their delivery service and they were also rude!!!!! the pizza is not worth it!... More

If you have been traveling for a while and are craving a delicious, thin-crust pizza and other savory Italian dishes, head here. The restaurant is right across the street from the yellow church on the plaza. There is another entrance around the corner that opens into a smaller space that has totally different feel. You have to walk through the... More

Mauricio's is one of 2 favorite restaurants in SJDS. He makes his pasta from scratch and how can you go wrong with fresh seafood toppings? Yes, the pizza's are wonderful but I drool over his pasta.

One night my husband and I said, let's just do pizza. We usually try to eat traditional food of where we're visiting but decided we were just in the mood for pizza. Well, by the end of dinner we were more than happy with our choice. We split a pizza and a pasta and both were delicious. Service is good.... More

Excellent pizza restaurant. Our friends has pasta and said it too was excellent. Tiramisu for dessert was excellent and when you get a bill for $12 per person for large pizza, wine and dessert you know you have a good deal.

Excellent value for money, large pizza, tiramisu and liqueur for $12.50. All the pizza ingredients were tasty and on a thin crust. Good service and quick. Lots of locals eat here regularly. Only downside was the heavy rain was bouncing off the wall and the bench was getting soaked.

the food at Maurizios is fantastic especially for the price. great atmosphere, both on the beach or by the park. somebody wrote, "one of the best pizzas in Nicaragua." Well that's an understatement. I don't know where else in Nicaragua you can eat food this good.

The sausage pizza had hot dogs instead of sausage. My girlfriend had seafood fettuccini that was pretty good (the homemade pasta made it), but the pizza was a disappointment. Had some pizzas delivered and that was cool, but the cheese tasted as if some of the salty Nica cheese had been substituted for part of the mozzarella.
