We returned to this restaurant 3 nights in a row. The food was fabulous and the prices were very reasonable. Their sausage plate was husbands favorite, as well as the sangria.♠

The atmosphere alone makes it worth a trip. The food is terrific & the garden area with twinkle lights makes you want to spend countless hours here in the evenings. To top it all off, the entire place is made from recycled materials. The staff is superbly friendly too.

This was the best meal we had while in Nicaragua! We each ordered pasta and it was perfect! The bread and veggies were also divine! Very nice ambiance in this restaurant! I wanted to return but we never got back here. Don't miss this one!!!

Don't bother looking for this place, it is gone, even the sign is gone. It was a nice place but closed for good at the end of March 2014.

This is SJDS best food! Mary Jane is a lovely host and she can really cook. Anytime we are in SJDS we eat here and we always enjoy the experience and the food. Her paella is truly wonderful (we call ahead to ask if she will prepare it) it is one of the best I have ever had. The décor... More

This is one of the best restaurants in San Juan! The food and atmosphere is excellent! We started with the pâté, delicious! The main course was Gorgonzola chicken and Gorgonzola steak. Wow! We absolutely loved the food! The desert was also amazing! I know people complain about the wait, but it was all prepared fresh to order, and worth the... More

This is an intimate restaurant with wonderful patio and artful interior dining areas. They offer a nicely refined atmosphere that is a wonderful change of pace from the waterfront restaurants in San Juan del Sur. We thoroughly enjoyed the dishes we ordered, along with strong sangria, coffee and dessert. Our meal at was a fantastic value when compared to an... More

Don't pass up a chance to get some very good food and service while in SJDS! The staff is great and the location is a little out of the way and quiet.

Our seacond visit to Nicaragua in 3 years. Our first meal had to be at El Colibri and surprised to be recognised by the staff. Great food highly recommended as always, and wonderful to see Mary Jane again the best host in town. A shame due to unforeseen circumstances we couldn't make our last meal there and say our goodbyes.... More

We couldn't have picked a better place, the atmosphere, the food and the service all excellent. I had the Filet Mignon with Gorgonzola and my husband had the Stuffed Chicken Breast. Both delicious. I would have rated this a very good but we were surprised that we were not able to get the Lasagna on the menu. We were told by... More
