Summer time at Otto's means their patio's beer garden goes into full swing with live German music to set the mood. On the evening of our visit, the Philadelphia German Brass Band (Die Philadelphia Deutsche Blaskapelle) dressed in lederhosen performed a number of lively German tunes & had whole tables of diners swaying in time to their music. My husband's... More

We ate in the beer garden, which is quite a nice little place. It's hard to find al fresco dining around here that isn't just dumping you out in the parking lot. Service was very good -- better than many places we've been. The problem is with the food itself and the delivery. I had the pork chops which were... More

We were meeting a touring friend for lunch and needed an easy to find restaurant right off the Pennsylvania turnpike. We chose Otto's. You don't find many German restaurants in the US. Otto's has an outdoor beer garden, but we chose to eat inside because of the summer heat. They serve American food too, but you would choose Otto's for... More

I have been coming to Philly for years. Otto's is an institution on 611. It has not really changed in years. Great German food and of course beer. They have the traditional German food which is delicious. Staff is consistently attentive and friendly. On 611 this is the best place to get a very good meal in the dining room.... More

Better for breakfast. disappointed in several meals at dinner. Menu has enough choices but not always what is expected.

We frequently go here to eat in their outdoor beer garden. It's pretty setting and we love their potato pancakes.

This is the second time I've gone to Ottos where they have seriously let me down. There won't be a third. Tried getting service at the outdoor bar, problem was there was no bartender. They have no credit card machine for her at the outside bar, so she needs to run inside every time someone wants to pay with credit---which... More

We used to enjoy having the dinner buffet at Otto's. So, we thought it would be nice to try the breakfast buffet on Father's Day. Sadly, the buffet was not very good and the service was mediocre. The scrambled eggs took a long time to get refilled, the ham was very thin and tasted over cooked, and the bagels seemed... More
