The pork medallions and cheese spaetzle was fantastic. The wurst sampler was pretty good too, the bauernwurst was my favorite. We got some bratwurst, bauernwurst, and mustard from the deli to take home. I'm a big fan of German lager so I will never turn down mug of Spaten Octoberfest. They offered a giant boot of beer too, but I... More

The Alpine Wurst and Meat House is a must for any foodie who enjoys authentic German cuisine. The beautifully decorated German atmosphere will make you believe you have traveled to Germany. The Service was friendly and prompt and our food was served hot and plated with style. The portions are large but everything tasted wonderful. Make sure you visit the... More

My wife and I stopped into enjoy date day and lunch. We enjoyed authentic German draft while looking over menu. They offered American, but we came here for the true German food. We both had the Jager Schnitzel w Spatezle and red cabbage. Packed flavor of mushroom gravy over top. Soooo good. We didnt want to leave. We saved a... More

My wife and I have been visiting the deli part of the establishment for a couple of years when we're in that area but yesterday we joined her cousin and his wife and had lunch. My wife and her cousin had the stuffed porkchop with red cabbage potato pancakes, it also came with a cup of soup. Her cousin's wife... More

We went here for our anniversary, a big mistake. We were seated right away. The waitress forgot our bread basket, and brought the appetizers out with the soup. Then she asked if we would like dessert when we were still eating. We were really rushed out of the place and there wasn't a lot of people waiting for tables. We... More

We visited the Alpine this summer and were delighted with the atmosphere, service and food. We had the Wiener Schnitzel and it was perfect, thin, crisp and tasty. While this is ny favorite dish, it was hard to choose because there were so many excellent choices on the menu. There is also a mouth watering shop in the building with... More

Had a great lunch at this nice german restaurant. Nice laid back town in Honesdale. Had the Wiener Schnitzel, spaetzle and of course the potato pancakes with applesauce. Everything was really good. They were very busy for a Sunday afternoon. The place looked like a german house and the wait staff all wore german fashion. All in all a nice... More

Restaurant and general store (with winery) all in one! The store allows you to purchase goods, both fresh and dry, to cook at home. Items include their own cured and smoked meats, sausages, etc. Rare meat cuts can also be found in the store. You can stop by and shop the store without dining at the restaurant. Check out their... I had weinerschnitzel ,potato salad and goulash soup. The schnitzel was average,at best, the potato salad was bland and the goulash soup was one step better than canned. They didn't even serve any pumpernickel or ANY bread. I'll never go back.

Stopped in for dinner and was a bit disappointed . Food was just average and a bit pricy. The deli next door is really nice, clean and full of wonderful meats, cheeses and other items.
