Great Scottish food at a reasonable price

If you just have to have shepherds pie or bangers and mash this the upscale pub for you. Get their chips & dips appetizer, awesome homemade chips with 3 different dips.

I've been going to this place for 5 years when ever I pass through the Valley. I love mince and these guys give it to you in a variety of ways. The Guinness is at an acceptable temperature and the staff have been great over the years.

loved the Braveheart - ate there both nights in town. Nice little Scottish pub with friendly, warm atmosphere. Off street parking that might be hard on a busy night. The first night it was sleeting, so a very sparse crowd, easy parking. The second night, it was threatening snow, but the restaurant was moderately full and there were no parking... More

When walked in the tables were half empty. We had table right next to the spot where waitresses put in their orders. All three waitresses walked by over the next few minutes, none of them acknowledged us. After 7 minutes it was apparent they did not know who was supposed to serve us, so I got up and asked the... As theamed pubs go the atmosphere was okay, the staff were efficient and polite. The food not so good, first you do not put haggis in a hush puppy, they were all dough and no haggis. The haggis should be served with neeps and tatties, the batter on the fish and chips was not crisp and raw on the inside.... More

We don't live there, but when I'm in the area I beg hubby to take me to Braveheart. Where I live in the south, restaurants with a feel like this one don't abound. I love the warm tones of all the wood, I feel so cozy in there. And the beef stew? Stop it! So good. Never had anything that... More

The atmosphere is good. Pub style place. Nice uniforms on the servers...like Celtic cheerleaders Started with a beer and had a Young's Chocolate Stout. Had many before and it was tasty! Next I had an appetizer...here is where I got upset. Haggis Hushpuppies....the thing is I've been to Scotland and I really like Haggis....but putting whatever was put inside the... More

Had been waiting to try this restaurant for awhile now. I, as always, judge Scottish/Irish pubs by their shepherd's pie...my husband by the beer. As far as size is concerned this is the largest pie I was served....shared some and took about 1/3 home. However, I was missing the ground lamb that is usually used in Scotland, Ireland, and recently... More

We visited The Highland Pub for the first time and were highly impressed. The place was cozy, the staff were wonderful, and the service was great. And even better was the food. I had the Pub Steak which was one of the better meals I have had, the best was the Bacon Yorkshire Pudding. Wow !!! My wife and sister-in-law... More

The fish and chips and Shepherd's pie are delicious. Nice bar with plenty of beer selections. Gets pretty crowded most nights of the week that I've been there. Parking can be a challenge as well. All is worth it because the food is terrific especially considering Scotland isn't exactly known for its cuisine.
