Great Mexican, the real deal here !

This was a great find in Hazleton, PA, The food and service were top notch and they had horchata, always a good sign in a Mexican restaurant. The menu is large and varied, lots to pick from. The neighborhood is edgy enough to put some people off, but for us it adds to the experience. You have to go... read more

We searched out El Mariachi because it has gotten such good reviews, but we were somewhat disappointed. The location and physical layout did not bother us, but the food was just "good" and not better than that. The chicken in the mole was old and/or tough, but the sauce was good. The vegetable enchilada was good too, but not great... More

You might feel a little uncomfortable walking in at first but the owners will make you feel right at home. The food is fantastic! Best tamale I ever had! Service is fast & friendly. The neighborhood is a little seedy but if you go during the day, you'll be just fine. Def worth the visit. I promise you, you'll go... More

Other than its questionable location, this place has the tastiest, most authentic Mexican food. We have tried many items from their menu and we're never disappointed. The nachos, burritos, tortas, chili rellenos, tostadas are all fantastic! The portions are great as well as the value. The owners also are great hardworking honest people.

Wanted something closer to home for authentic Mexican food, since I can't always get to W-B. THIS is the place! A bunch of friends highly recommended it,and even though it is in a neighborhood known for some trouble,I thought it would be worth a try. I am SO glad I went, the owner is a GREAT GUY and the waitress is very... More

We stopped here for dinner during a long drive from western PA to NYC. Delicious, authentic, homemade Puebla style Mexican food. Everything tastes fresh, not nuked. Best Mole Poblano I've ever tasted. Very good tacos and enchiladas. Mexican Coke (with cane sugar, not corn syrup). Warm hospitality in what is clearly a mom-and-pop operation. Two downsides: one is that it's... More

Great little find! Food was really traditional to Puebla, Mexico. Excellent chicken mole and chilaquiles. The chips were awesome as well. Plus, they have the Mexican coca cola. Go try it if you like good, cheap Mexican food and a huge portion of it. The server was really friendly as well.

I am new to Hazleton, and I had been craving some real authentic Mexican Food, like the one my mother makes. I found this restaurant online and saw all the good reviews so my family and I decided to give it a try. I can't begin to understand the positive reviews on this restaurant. I come from CA, and I...
