A meticulously restored Arts & Craft Lodge in the Lake Region of Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains boasting native Chestnut Wood Beams, Bradbury & Bradbury hand screened Wallpapers, Fulper hand crafted tiles, a Stickley Grandfather's Clock, a collection of Arts and Crafts Pottery and Mission Style furnishings. Our hospitality extends from the head to the heart to the hand. Gather with friends or family in the inn's many comfortable common spaces. Bask in a summer's day on the terrace, or stroll the colorful Garden and the banks of the meandering Lackawaxen River. Take a spin around town on one of the bikes on our front porch. Walk out the front door to the Bingham Park and Riverwalk Trail to our sister property, Ledges Hotel, where you are invited to relax on one of the many decks and surround yourself in the natural beauty of the waterfalls and gorge.

Excellent birthday dinner for two

My guest was delighted by her birthday celebration at The Settlers Inn. I was able to secure a same-day mid-week reservation on Open Table after other plans fell through. The food was excellent, locally-sourced mostly and of high quality. We were offered a table in the dining room or on the... read more

Let me start by saying I'm a "local". I've been to the Settlers Inn many times, usually as a special treat. We planned for a couple of months to come here for Sunday brunch if we finished the AKC championships on two of our dogs. Happily, we accomplished the championships but sadly the celebration was ruined by the awful food... More

We visited for breakfast only. It was superb! A half order of steak and eggs with home fries was the perfect size for me. Positively yummy! My husband also enjoyed his eggs and sausage. Excellent service with a smile. The Settlers Inn is a lovely arts and crafts era building with exquisite woodwork from the 1920s. We walked through the... More

My wife and I along with good friends recently enjoyed dinner. Smoked trout was very nice with accompanied sauce. Zucchini flowers filled with ricotta where delicate and creamy. Striped bass for the table served 2 along with accompniants was very nice. I would order again. Wine selections were varied but well represented.

We enjoy the variety of fresh foods, and the expert preparation. The dining room is lovely, decorated with Mission furniture. Most of the chairs are church chairs with hymnal pockets on the back. The background music is really background and conversation is easy. Breakfasts are outstanding.

Beautiful old building in the Arts and Crafts style. We had breakfast there, steak and eggs and it was delicious. The menu said it was served with Hollandaise and the sauce was very good but definitely different than traditional Hollandaise. Nice staff.

Really neat historic building and an outstanding lunch. Raspberry lemonade cocktails were great, as was the club sandwich and grilled cheese. The highlight was absolutely the mushroom soup. It was not a cream-based broth, but rather a mushroom stock broth with incredible mushrooms and crunchy vegetables. Possibly one of the tastiest and most unique mushroom soups we have ever had.... Our second visit there. Great wine selection. I had a Lemon drop and it was served perfectly. We each had a soup with our entrees. The mushroom soup was very different but good. My wife hsd the salmoncand I had a veal special for main course. The veal was very tender and a bit too spicy for me. The salmon... More

Our entire dining experience was perfect from start to finish. The food was innovative and flavorful. Not overly rich which added to the culinary experience and enjoyment of the meal. Our server, Shawn, provided impeccable service and made our night memorable. There aren't too many fine dining options in this area so if you're looking for a quality meal, make... More
