This small bakery makes the best bread and rolls in town. Their pizza is also delicious. I always get mine to go so do not know about the service but have never been disappointed in the product.

If you are ever in Harrisburg, you have to try this joint. We were in Hershey for a concert and, after considerable research, decided to try this place for lunch. Honestly, it was some of the best Italian food that we’ve ever had. I had the lasagna with meatballs; the sauce was outstanding and the meatballs tasted fresh with just... More

Great homemade pasta, sauce, meatballs, sausage, subs AND the bonus is great deserts too! The chocolate croissant is one of my favorites.

Very good food! Home made. Family operation and great people. Not a very big place so you have to make reservations but well worth it.

Went in one rainy Saturday afternoon. Cute location in the city. The place was VERY cramped and very small. After hearing about how good the desserts were, I decided to give it a try. Honestly, it was mediocre at best. I may go back to try the hot foodstuff, give it another shot.

Alvaro is in a little hole in the wall on a corner of an uptown residential section. You're not going there to be seen, you're going for great bread and Italian Pastery. You can eat there, there is a table or two, but I go to buy things to take home for the family to enjoy, and enjoy they do.

good home mode food. Bread made in house. Pastry makes me think of my grandma. Eggplant and meatballs are wonderful. Sandwiches offer good quality meat and cheese.

Very nice, local--SMALL--restaurant and take out place, with fresh-made Italian foods. Try the meatballs: they are huge and tasty. Nice selection of hard-to-find Italian cookies, too.

Love this place and their delicious, homemade breads always in view and ready to be chosen by you. The lunches are amazing (love the stuffed meatballs). Italian cookies are fantastic and there is a different selection all the time. BUT - the gelato. Oh, those gelatos. Authentic. Italian. The best you'll ever taste. EVER. The flavors are rich and powerful.... More
