Pizza unique and drawing card!

Traditionally a local neighborhood bar that specializes in outstanding, homemade Italian food. Uniqu "upside down" pizza has not changed in 50 years. took date here in 1960's now take grandkids there for unique pizza experience. Pizza and beer night out does not get any better.

The place is definitely not what I expected. It's a small corner bar that advertises pizza and spaghetti as their specialties. My wife got a cheese pizza and just didn't like it. Crust appeared to be from outside/frozen. The cheese appeared to be cheddar. Sauce was not to her liking. I tried a piece...it was different...ok, but not the best... More

Good thin-crust pizza and friendly staff who manage to be accommodating and efficient. It's clearly one of those places that attracts long-term clientele, but you don't have to know the folks there to be pleased. I lived in New Haven CT for years, which claims to be the birthplace of U.S. pizza, so I won't rave about Subway's, but it's... More

For years my boss has been telling me about the Subway Cafe, best pizza ever. About a month ago, he stopped there for lunch and brought me a single serve Pizza back. I took it home and reheated it in the oven, OMG. It didn't look really good, but once I re-heated, it was out-of-this-world! You have got to try... More

I've been eating at Subway cafe for 50 years. Always the same exceptional pizza that is personal size, thin cracker crust and delicious. I always start off with their awesome antipasto salad. The service is warm and welcoming and above all, very efficient which is hard to find in many restaurants. It is family owned, but the patrons are always... More

We liked the unique interior and its history. We enjoyed the soup, salad and thin crust pizza. My husband particularly enjoyed the peanut butter pie. On the way out of the restaurant we met an older man who had been dining there with his daughter. His daughter shared that they regularly ate there and always enjoyed the food. She also... More

Been going to the Subway for 40 years and it never changes, in the best way possible. No wonder it won best pizza in the local paper's recent contest. Also love the lasagna and chicken park.

Many, many years ago the Subway Cafe was THE place to go for pizza. Our foursome had lunch here yesterday and we were disappointed. Our two friends had personal pizzas. The crust was far too thin and burned around the edges. The sauce had a sweet taste and the additional topping portions for which you pay extra were not generous.... More

This place has been around almost forever. Tiny and kind of shabby looking but once inside you will enter a world that seems to be the same as it was years ago. Scott behind the bar will say hello when you enter and the food will surprise you. The pizza is the star here.....outstanding crisp crust..great sauce and decent toppings.... More
