Awesome Food

We always stop here when traveling thru Harrisburg. Friendly staff, delicious food, and a true Irish Pub. Try the Espresso short rib, they are melt in our mouth tender and amazing delicious. Large assortment of beers on tap, and even bigger list of bottled beers from around the world.

We came up to Harrisburg for the night sans kids. We didn't bring any fancy clothes so we couldn't eat at the hotel steakhouse. We went looking for something comfortable where my husband could get a good beer. This place fit the bill. I had the salmon, which was awesome. My husband had the short ribs, which were killer. I... McGrath's is fine pub food, but if you're from out of town, don't look at this rating and think it's a can't miss. I cannot understand how so many fine restaurants are lower in the list than McGrath's. Crazy. It's pub food, people. Average decent but not four or five star stuff.

I have tried to eat dinner there about three or four times before. It is always packed and I never could get a seat, which is a good problem because it must mean the place is good. I ate there and ordered a sausage, white kidney bean and Kale soup. This was delicious. I got the shepherds pie. It was... More

McGrath's is a great pub and restaurant on a side street in downtown Harrisburg. As a real Irish pub they have a great bar selection with a good choice of draft beers and cask beer specials. Their regular menu has a great choice of very good dishes. Their wings are outstanding. They run specials every week or so and they... More

Great vibe in this place. The bar is a little tight. So get there early if you want to sit at the bar. Friendly staff, good selection of beers.

We love the food here and I chose to have my graduation dinner here because we couldn't think of a meal that would be as dependably delicious. Overall, this is a gem!

The food here is definitely a cut above your average "pub grub" and equal to plenty of restaurants that charge a lot more. The Espresso-Chipotle Braised Beef Short Ribs are incredible and at $16 quite a bargain. I've also had the Irish Pub Chicken, which was also extremely good, although a bit rich. Also a bargain at $15. Whoever is... More

We were visiting the area for the weekend and happened upon this quaint restaurant. We enjoyed our meals and found the prices reasonable! Wouldn't hesitate to visit again and would definitely recommend to anyone!
