We hadn't been to the Progress Grill in years, but went there recently for my mother's birthday. All in all, it was a very pleasant surprise. Steaks were delicious. Service was excellent. Pricing was very reasonable, given the quality of food. It's popular, so do make a reservation before you go.

We were so bummed when we got to the restaurant, there was a sign saying it's closed from June 30 through July 6th. I had looked on their website at the menu and there was no mention of the closing. Looked like a great menu too....

An institution in Harrisburg, Progress Grill is well known for its fresh seafood, and service! The family and staff take personal pride in their customer relations, and the fresh menu is top notch. On any given weekday evening, the customers range from couples to businessmen to state elected officials, and all leave well satisfied with their meal and the restaurant.

We were. Seated immediately upon arrival. Our waiter was very informative, explained the menu and specials. I had scallops and crab imperial. It was excellent. Another diner had prime rib regular cut and it was enormous, they also offer an extra cut

At one time this was the place to go. My last experience here was horrible. I got the combination seafood dinner. The seafood was bland. It said it came with. Scallops and shrimp I got one shrimp and approx. 4 scallops. It also came with Lobster tail which had a odd taste to it. My husband tried it and said... More

The food here is CONSISTENTLY wonderful. We have never had a bad meal here. The bartenders, Jolene, Dori and John are all wonderful and extremely pleasant. The prime rib is amazing as are the crabcakes, the shrimp cocktail and the filet's. In fact, everything we have had here has been delicious - 100% of the time!! We travel to NYC... More

Check this place out. You will not be disappointed. Food is really good and so is the service. It's a steakhouse, seafood joint. Kinda reminds me of the godfather in that you might expect a few mob bosses to be seated in the back. Overall - really good.

Progress Grill was once my favorite place to go for a special dinner in Harrisburg area. I visisted in March 2014 and was pretty much disappointed. We were rushed to our table by the waitress, rushed to order drinks and also rushed to order food. I despise being rushed when you are paying good amount of money for a nice... More

by far the best old school restaurant between Phila and Pgh - they are known for their crab cakes and delicious sirloin! Nick will take care of you! We went there for our anniversary and Nick ordered a cake for us and offered to buy after dinner drinks!!

My wife and I recently enjoyed a delicious meal here. The menu has a mix of American cuisine with a little bit of Greek food thrown in. The seafood there was cooked very well and was delicious. The decor was a bit out dated and the nooks and crannies looked like they haven't been cleaned in years. It's also kind... More
