Unique Ambiance and Good Food

Located in the capital of PA, the Firehouse is a good choice. It is in an old firehouse (hence the name!) and the architecture is very interesting. The décor includes a lot of firehouse related figurines. Our server, Taylor, was very helpful and friendly. We ordered the fire bread as an appetizer... read more

Had the cold smoked Ribeye, wonderful choice, so flavorful and delicious and the mashed potatoes with blue cheese complimented well. Service was great as well and the atmosphere was excellent, both historical and fun.

Been to the Firehouse twice once for lunch and one for dinner. Each time the service was great! The food for dinner was a average but the lunch proved to be a redemption. Great atmosphere!

The food was delicious along with the portions being generous. The restaurant is located in an old firehouse, which was pretty darn cool in and of itself. The real highlight of the review is the waitstaff, specifically Corey. Corey (along with his counterpart Taylor) were very quick with the orders and with the sense of humor. All of our food... More

I booked a reservation 30 hours in advance. When I arrived at the Firehouse, we were turned away. They said they were only serving three private parties. I showed them my reservation confirmation number and they said they would not honor it. I will never go back there.

From the cocktails to the entrees: super, value for the price, excellent presentation! I would highly reccomend this place for dinner, drinks or late night. The restaurant is located in a historic firehouse no longer used by the city. The group at the bar seemed to be enjoying themselves. The dining room was comfortable. We sat in the lower level... On a cold, windy and snowy Saturday afternoon walking around Harrisburg we stopped in at the Firehouse to warm up with a drink before heading out to our B&B. The bar is right up front by the original firetruck door. The tin ceiling and wall treatments were worth the stop alone. Maybe next time we’ll try dinner at the Firehouse!

Hands down in my top ten of all restaurants I've ever been. My 2 favorite dishes are the Firehouse Stack being a Jumbo lump crab cake stacked on top of a filet mignon served over mashed potatoes and topped with hollandaise sauce. The second is the Phoenician Baked Rainbow trout baked in a casing kosher salt where they need to... More

We took a friend to dinner there and discovered they had a painting party scheduled. This was quite fun actually since we could watch. But they had double booked another group so it was quite crowded until they sorted it out. Despite the demands on the wait staff, they were attentive and we had food in a reasonable amount of...
