Great place to go!

Been to the Firehouse twice once for lunch and one for dinner. Each time the service was great! The food for dinner was a average but the lunch proved to be a redemption. Great atmosphere!

The food was delicious along with the portions being generous. The restaurant is located in an old firehouse, which was pretty darn cool in and of itself. The real highlight of the review is the waitstaff, specifically Corey. Corey (along with his counterpart Taylor) were very quick with the orders and with the sense of humor. All of our food... More

I booked a reservation 30 hours in advance. When I arrived at the Firehouse, we were turned away. They said they were only serving three private parties. I showed them my reservation confirmation number and they said they would not honor it. I will never go back there.

From the cocktails to the entrees: super, value for the price, excellent presentation! I would highly reccomend this place for dinner, drinks or late night. The restaurant is located in a historic firehouse no longer used by the city. The group at the bar seemed to be enjoying themselves. The dining room was comfortable. We sat in the lower level... On a cold, windy and snowy Saturday afternoon walking around Harrisburg we stopped in at the Firehouse to warm up with a drink before heading out to our B&B. The bar is right up front by the original firetruck door. The tin ceiling and wall treatments were worth the stop alone. Maybe next time we’ll try dinner at the Firehouse!

Hands down in my top ten of all restaurants I've ever been. My 2 favorite dishes are the Firehouse Stack being a Jumbo lump crab cake stacked on top of a filet mignon served over mashed potatoes and topped with hollandaise sauce. The second is the Phoenician Baked Rainbow trout baked in a casing kosher salt where they need to... More

We took a friend to dinner there and discovered they had a painting party scheduled. This was quite fun actually since we could watch. But they had double booked another group so it was quite crowded until they sorted it out. Despite the demands on the wait staff, they were attentive and we had food in a reasonable amount of... Inside an old converted firehouse with lots of old memorabilia. There is a full bar as you enter and then table seating is available downstairs and upstairs. The menu is an eclectic mix so you're sure to find something to try. Ate there twice and the food was fresh with some nice flavor twist on the bread and salads. Good... More

If I had to review this place based on service it would have been five stars. The place is really cool, kind of loud but that is alright. The food was a nice proportion but was just average. We enjoyed the fire house for the vintage fire equipment and decor.

If you're looking for a quiet place to have a romantic dinner, this isn't it. But if you're in the mood for one of the best crabcakes and fried calamari in the city, go straight to The Firehouse! I have been going there for years and it has never let me down.
