Different Draft List

Stopped in with friends for an after dinner drink and was impressed by the draft list, different beers from what are usually available in Harrisburg. The fire bread is always a favorite and a must have when at The Firehouse.

I randomly selected this place from a list provided by our hotel. This is a re-purposed firehouse (the oldest in Harrisburg- 1860) that has turned into an excellent resttaurant for travelers and locals alike. The service is friendly and prompt. The drink specials are excellent. The prices reasonable to moderate. The menu has something to please everyone. TIP order anything... More

We enjoyed our lunch at the bar. Fun atmosphere. Delicious food. Service was good. I got the sense that it is a place that many locals come for lunch. Really enjoyed it.

We stopped here after going to the National Civil War Museum and are glad we did. This was a lunch time visit with three adults and two teenagers. At first, I was a little concerned that we wouldn't get very good service because the server told us that she was also the bartender. However, she did an awesome job and... More

Great food, the atmosphere is good...did I mention the food? Cheese puffs! That's all I have to say...try it, be happy, and come back for more.

Working in Harrisburg comes with walking distance lunch breaks. I'm so glad one of my coworkers suggested this establishment. The ambiance was so cool and I loved the feel of the restaurant. The menu had a choice for everyone no matter what type of food you may enjoy. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us frequently. I had... More

We had a family dinner for 7 at the Firehouse. We chose it because of its location in a converted firehouse, but we'd choose it all over again because of the great food. I highly recommend the trout baked in salt (no, it doesn't make your fish salty, just seals in the moisture while it's being baked). The waitress uncracked... More

No reservation was made. Came in late for dinner. Bar tender and host service was good. Bar tender was nice enough to describe various items on the menu. After taking a few suggestions and moments I decide on a drink mojito. I ordered the gumbo (they ran out of the lobster bisque- soup of the day) and firehouse stack (crab... More

It is always VERY loud in here and difficult to hold a conversation with your table-mates. Seems like they cater to the "regulars" at the bar and just shuffle the rest of the crowd in and out. We made reservations twice and asked for a table NOT on the 2nd floor and both times we were put up there... the... More

Very interesting restaurant with history. The wait staff was very good, nice bar area, very spacious seating both upstairs and downstairs. The menu had a lot of variety. We were a party of 4, all entrees were prepaid very nice and tasted fantastic. If you are visiting and close to downtown Harrisburg make this restaurant one of your choices.
