Great

Had new orleans nachos, blacken chicken cheese steak and beer. Delish. Service was wonderful. Staff friendly. Just a real cool place with good food and good people.

Ate dinner at the Firehouse last night. The new menu looked great. I started with the scallops rockefeller - a unique and tasty dish. Next I ordered the lobster ravioli. The sauce had a great flavor and the ravioli was full of lobster meat. Overall the entire evening was a pleasant experience and I'm anxious to return very soon.

Chose this eatery because it is an old firehouse that was converted into a restaurant, thought that was cool. The place was a little busy but not crazy and we were seated immediately. We had a nice corner table upstairs. I thought that the place could use a cleaning but maybe that’s just part of the charm, who knows. The... More

Six of us went before a show in Harrisburg and enjoyed The Firehouse. The service was very good. It was hopping there and the manager stopped by our table asking how everything was. I had the Phoenician Baked Trout for $22.99. It was a farm raised rainbow trout in kosher salt. It's an ancient and natural cooking method and was... More

We made reservations for lunch - a group of 8 - on a Tuesday afternoon. Typical lunch time - just after 12. They seated us immediately but then sat two additional large groups upstairs with us. From there the service went downhill. There was not enough wait staff to handle three large groups, took a long time to order and... More

I loved Firehouse. It was one of my fave downtown spots to eat in Harrisburg. Until new management supposedly took over. Everything went downhill. The service was awful. The wait for the food to arrive at our table was ridiculous (it was lunchtime and not crowded.) And when the food arrived, it was cold. Unfortunately, I refuse to go back.... More

We've been to the Firehouse several times, and it's always been a great experience. They have a very interesting and diverse menu, with entrees in the $10-20 range. Food is always hot and made to order. Service is prompt and very friendly. The atmosphere is active, but not too noisy for intimate conversation. They have a full bar. I always... More

Had dinner here with my wife early on a Monday night. Since it was Monday it was a pretty quiet night there, a few people at the bar and a few diners. Nice atmosphere, old firehouse with original tin ceilings and unique tin walls. Upon entering there is a triangular bar against the front window that was the front garage... More

I would eat a steak there as much as possible. Excellent service, and their other dishes are excellent too but it will be hard for me to divert.

While driving across the state we were in need of a good meal and had not eaten all day. It was 4pm and we were ready for dinner. We ordered the calamari which was tender and served with a typical marinara sauce that was just okay, but worked. We ordered the filet mignon topped with crab cakes in a hollandaise... More
