Five Alarm Eats

Although we stopped only for a drink & snack before catching a train - in a more or less forlorn downtown - Firehouse pub is worth a visit. The extensive menu, divided into a series of "alarms" (appetizers, entrees, desserts, etc.), is creative & prices are reasonable. For anyone interested, the... read more

Made a reservation, that is important because seating is limited. Staff very friendly and helpful. Drinks, Calamari appetizer, both excellent. I was looking a the 5 Alarm menu (dinner) when the floor manager suggested I try the Tuscan Lasagna. It was amazing. Soooo glad for the tip! My wife tried the Scallops with Pumpkin Ravioli. Also shockingly good. I was... More

Restaurant Row has so many places to choose from, but don't miss the Firehouse! The vintage building has 2 floors, and it really was a firehouse! The menu has something to offer everyone. Don't miss the gumbo. I've been to New Orleans twice, and the gumbo at the Firehouse is authentic! The crab cakes are delicious!! There are many fabulous... More

Good friends, good food and a fun time. Some history to the venue as well. I enjoyed a burger and fries for lunch. Excellent service.

Visited first time meeting with daughter, son-in-law and grandson for a New Year get together. Ordered Backfire with Ahi Tuna Sandwich with cole slaw Food was exceptional and our waitress was great. So so nice.. Will definitely come back. Oh the appetizer of formage and calamari was out of this world. I will come back just for that. Forgot to... More

The food was excellent, but I was disapointed that they had a limited menu. I enjoyed their Trout and an excellent Crab Bisque. Service was excellent and the reservation made through this site was right on time.

We had our group holiday lunch here. The menu offered a variety of options, but I understand the menu has been scaled down from what it used to be. The service was friendly, but it took a long time for our orders to come out. There were several groups there that day, but we had even moved our time at... More

Had lunch here with four co-workers. The service was fine, but the consensus was that the food was average. I had the bison burger and was happy with it. The homemade chips were good.

This is a local hang out but you do not feel out of place if you stop in and are not a regular. The bar is a good size and there are plenty of tables. The service is always good and the food is very good. You can get anything from 'bar food' to excellent entrees. A glass of wine... More
