Speakeasy was a great place to take your family. We were on the deck enjoying the beautiful weather. Food and service was perfect. The manager even stopped by our party just to see how everything was. Overall. Great experience.

Our family went for dinner on a Sunday night. My husband loved the plain build your own burger he had; my daughter thought the Caesar salad was great and my sirloin steak was cooked perfectly. I was disappointed that I couldn't taste any blue cheese in my mashed potatoes as I thought they sounded very interesting. My daughter really enjoyed...

My husband and I have stopped in here for drinks several times in the past 2 months after stumbling upon this bar looking for a band playing on a Thursday night in Harrisburg. All 3 times we stopped in on a Thursday for a drink the live music was great plus they have half price draft beer from 4:30-7:00pm, which...

I work in Harrisburg and chose to eat at Sturges Speakeasy for lunch after Christmas. The place seemed small, but there appeared to have a second level. It was dark, but homey dark, not creepy dark. I went with a co-worker and we were seated quickly.
We had a seat in the far back of the restaurant, which initially was...

December 15, 2012. We sat at the bar, only two other guests at the bar when we arrived. Skinny, blonde girl behind the bar with super short shorts wearing long, past the knee, socks/leg warmers had no personality. Maybe she thought most black people don't tip or maybe she just was bored and wished her shift was already over. Whatever...

My husband and I decided to stop in for lunch on Black Friday. There was hardly anyone there --nice and quiet, relatively speaking. We had excellent service and the holiday beers on tap were delicious! The menu was quite creative (shark tacos, a variety of pickled eggs, for example) and we both really enjoyed our meals. The cornbread isn't just...

We've been 5 times. The atmosphere is great, above and beyond anywhere else in the city. Particularly the roof deck. Contrary to other reviews, I have found the service to be pretty good, albeit they are a new restaurant and are working out their kinks. Their food is not the best yet, but they keep improving the and I have...

On Friday, September 7, 2012, we dined for lunch at Speakeasy.
This was our fourth visit, and during previous jaunts, we enjoyed their food. However, on this occasion, their food was subpar at best.
Despite only 15 or so patrons present in the restaurant upon our arrival, it took over 30 minutes to get our food. After the food finally...

We had reservations for a party of 11 people and they had the table ready when we arrived, but that was probably the only positive thing I can say about the service. The waitress seemed to be on auto pilot and had no personality. It took 20 minutes to get our drink order and another 20 to get our drinks....

I've been here maybe 6 times and absolutely love the changes they made to the building and decor. Unfortunately the staff haven't quite put it together... Service is very poor whether at the bar or dining. Doesn't matter if it's busy or not either. I'd like to say its hot or miss there... But hopefully they turn things around.
Not...
