First time was breakfast, and it rocked! Second time was dinner and even better!

First, a shout out to Michael, our server, who did an outstanding job and made our experience very enjoyable. It's a fine balance for a server (and I was one in a former life) to playfully interact with a table and not become annoying. Michael did a great job, knew when to crack a joke or two and... read more

We made a reservation for a Saturday night, but there appeared to be room for walk-ups. The menu offered lots of interesting options without seeming scattered. As a vegetarian, I opted to order a few different sides rather than the main pasta course or the veggie sandwich because I wanted to maximize my sampler.

I ate here several times in February 2015. The food was exquisite. The foccaccia bread was the best I ever had, and should be tried by everyone. I also enjoyed the hanger steak, crab cakes, mac & cheese, chowder, and wolf fish. Each of these dishes were unique and an experience unto themselves. It felt like being onTop Chef or... More

We visited Home 231 with family members and loved the food and the ambience. It is small and cozy with a varied menu of lots of comfort foods, such as braised short ribs, meatloaf, pork shank ....but this is definitely not your mothers restaurant. The menu has an upscale twist on old favourites. The fish special was very good, as... More

Everything we've ordered here has been consistently good, sometimes great. Their cocktails are fun, delicious, and well made. I appreciate the carafe of water left at the table. The patio is our favorite as soon as it's warm, and we always always always love their cheese plates.

They use only the finest locally grown produce and make some of the best dishes I ever had. The chef is a master and pairs items very well together. I have been here a couple of times and have enjoyed each visit very much. They offer Gluten Free alternatives on request, and most of the items are naturally GF. Try... More

We were going to the Whitaker Theater and found this small neighborhood eatery and what a great find! Greeted immediately, server Casey was very helpful with menu, she didn't hover, didn't hurry us and delivered our orders in a very timely manner. She also knew the wine list which doesn't always happen. Atmosphere was cozy and laid back. The cheese... More

Home 231 has a lot of charm and is a fun place to have a meal. So far, we've only had brunch, but it was definitely good enough to warrant another visit. Our experience had a few inconsistencies. It took the staff a long time to greet us once seated and get our drink order. However, once our server did... More

Not necessarily your usual food for this area. Three adults and two children, each of us had a different menu item and all were very good. Service was good, but not excellent, although they were extremely busy. Would not hesitate to return and try a different menu item, or the same one again.

I will preface this by saying that I travel a lot for work and pleasure, and I have been lucky enough to have some very fine meals in many fine places. That said, I could easily take this establishment and put it up against any of the places I have eaten this past year. They would easily survive in New... More
