Fantastic dinner in Harrisburg

Was traveling through Harrisburg and looking for a nice dinner and this place hit the mark. Salads were fresh and great, entrees were good across the board and the wine list impressed our whole table. Service was also friendly and extremely pleasant. Would definitely return again.

What a nice relaxed restaurant with smart, tasty food and an affordable wine list. I had the roast lamb and it was cooked perfectly. The wine was a Gruner Veltlinner whicvh wasdry cold and inexepensive. Service was unobtrusive but helpful. Doughnuts and gelato made for a great ending.

Visited the Harrisburg area for Memorial Day weekend for a wedding & reunion of friends. Upon our arrival in town we had a small group seeking dinner options & luckily used Yelp to find this fantastic restaurant! We found our way there easily & were seated quickly. The waitress was wonderful sharing with us the restaurants "farm to table" concept... More

Stopped in for a late dinner after a visit to the art museum. So pleasantly surprised! Greeted and seated immediately with a smile. Table was near the bar so the bartender was our server. She was friendly, humorous and knowledgable and served us her recommended cocktails which were wonderful. The kind you look forward to the next time you are... More

Had a really great meal sitting outside watching the world go by. The cod was great. Wine is reasonably priced and the menu is good, and not too extensive as to be confusing. Recommended.

My second visit to Home 231 was every bit as exceptional as the first. Beet salad with goat cheese, Short ribs over cauliflower, great pinot noir to go along - I just don't know how food can get any better!

My husband, who worked in Harrisburg for 3 years, took me here as we were passing through because it's his favorite restaurant. We got there around 9 and were the only customers but the staff was very gracious and friendly. I was in a vegetarian mood and ordered Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and a kale Caesar salad for my... More

Had a wonderful lunch today with girlfriends!!! Loved the atmosphere....charming cafe, definitely felt like I was someplace other than Harrisburg! I ordered the best salad I ever have had....the Brussels Sprouts salad with grilled chicken....cranberries, peanuts, red onion with maple vinaigrette. I can't stop thinking about it. Had an impossible time deciding what to order since everything on the menu... More

This place is almost easy to miss. My first time in Harrisburg and just happen to stumble on this place. Very nice on the inside but we sat in the courtyard. All the food was great! Appetizers, wine , soup , salads, main coarse and dessert. Our waiter Michael was very informative to the food and explained everything perfectly. We... More

We were excited about spending the weekend in Harrisburg. We love exploring and the town has an interesting history and many attractions. The one thing we did not know was the great restaurants it offered. On Friday night we found one we really loved. Home 231 is on a residential street near the PA Capital and two very beautiful churches.... More
