I frequent Home 231 for lunch with colleagues. The menu changes seasonally and the specials are fantastic. The restaurant uses fresh, seasonal ingredients, and pay attention to presentation and service. The food is universally excellent and appeals to a variety of appetites - lunch time offers salads, soups, as well as hearty sandwiches and the signature burger (which is delicious).... More

I love farm to table restaurants and Home 231 didn't disappoint. The menu is filled with unique combinations of wonderfully fresh veggies. The grilled asparagus and tomato salad was delicious and the sea scallop entree over an avocado cream with fingerling potatoes and roasted corn was just the right portion size and very flavorful. it is definitely a place to... Had lunch there for first time on visit to HBG. Grilled cheese was awesome, not soaked in cheese, just perfect. Not sure what kind of bread but it was again, perfect. Service and atmosphere great. Cant wait to get back there.

Met colleagues for a business lunch. The service and food were very good. Prices were very reasonable. It is a cute restaurant and could be a romantic evening place to go to. I would recommend and go back.

Waited 5 mins for a host to stick his head around, even tho we had a reservation. Waited at least 5 mins for a server to come to put menus down. Waited 10 minutes after this, and we hadn't even been served drinks yet. Ordered drinks, and wait 5 mins til the server came back and said "oh, sorry, no... More

Truly gourmet treat starting with fresh squeezed OJ, la columbe coffee and working our way through lemon curd topped stuffed French toast, a wonderful omelet, freshly ground sausage patty, and the best "hash browns" I've ever had. We were full, unfortunately, so had to pass on the donuts for dessert. Wish we could go back for a dinner.

Very nice atmosphere on the outside patio. Have been here numerous times for dinner and always very good. Our table was ready the service started out spot on this day but got shaky as time went on. Actually it was not our servers fault but it took almost 35 minutes to get our order. The food was very good and... More

It's ok, worth a try for the 'trendy' crowd. The menu is full of different things and what we had was very good, but small portioned. Drinks are $$$, so get there between 5pm-7pm and you can save a couple bucks. We had 3 bite size pierogies with chorizo (sp?) that had a smidgen of stuffing ($11 - I can... More

We were wandering around Harrisburg on July 4th, not expecting much to be open, and found Home 231. The food, starting with an inventive Bloody Mary, was delicious. We had the Greek Salad and Flat Iron Steak - both quite good. Likes: Service - attentive and friendly. The chef asked us about our meal. When queried, he mentioned his focus... More
