Very good breakfast

Home 231 has a lot of charm and is a fun place to have a meal. So far, we've only had brunch, but it was definitely good enough to warrant another visit. Our experience had a few inconsistencies. It took the staff a long time to greet us once seated and get our drink order. However, once our server... read more

Not necessarily your usual food for this area. Three adults and two children, each of us had a different menu item and all were very good. Service was good, but not excellent, although they were extremely busy. Would not hesitate to return and try a different menu item, or the same one again.

I will preface this by saying that I travel a lot for work and pleasure, and I have been lucky enough to have some very fine meals in many fine places. That said, I could easily take this establishment and put it up against any of the places I have eaten this past year. They would easily survive in New... More

We got hungry while "Sunday driving" on New Year's Day, and choe this place based on proximity and iPhone reviews. Great find! Attractive lane of buildings, ample street parking, and welcoming hostess. Wait staff paid attention to small details (timely arrival of butter and jam, left water jug on the table, checked back with us frequently but not overly so...)... More

We love this restaurant, though I will note that we tend to be small plates people and in lieu of an entrée, my husband and I (and often times a couple of friends) usually order 6-12 small plates for sharing. We usually go to this restaurant in summertime and enjoy their adorable patio. The cocktails are always spot on.

This small eclectic restaurant offered delicious food and really great , friendly service. The house donuts with 3 dipping sauces happily took me back to the 50s and shaking warm donuts holes in sugar and cinnamon in brown lunch bags in a warm , fragrant kitchen along side of my mother. The Crab Benedict was memorable also with a crisp colorful... More

My friend and I dined at Home 231 the other night. The restaurant has a very cozy atmosphere, but the positives stop there. I chose the Black Bean Penne Pasta for my meal. I couldn't even find the penne. I had to ask the server if I received the correct meal and she just said something to the effect of... More

Cozy little bistro to saunter into on a lazy Sunday morning. Have a glass of bubbly to go with the extremely fine food. One of the best places in Harrisburg! We just loved it! There is a hidden patio out back. Make sure you take sunscreen, but otherwise a special experience.

On nice quiet street with off street parking. It was busy on Saturday evening. I made reservation thru open table about 2 hours before dinner. Service was excellent and attentive. Building itself was casual and nothing special. Food was very good. Would go again.

I was very satisfied with our entire experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere is great--very quiet, cozy and romantic. Our meals were all delicious, made with fresh ingredients and seasoned very well. I enjoyed that it was farm to table. The menu selections have great variety, without being overwhelming with a lengthy list. Our service was great, as we were... More
