Great early dinner

Went at opening time Saturday night b4 NCAA game started. Excellent service by all, server Josh was on the ball and fun to talk to about menu and game. We had the duck appetizer, lobster spag (half) and the beef shank - all excellent. A glass of wine and 2 btls of Yuengling and we were north of a... read more

Salmon on a potato foam with ponegranate reduction. Unbelievable! Husband got the halibut which was also excellent. Service is pretty good. Even though there were several large parties, we did not have to wait. You can talk without a lot of distracting noise. Atmosphere is pleasant. Can' say enough about the venue. We've eaten here at least 3 times in... More

We were a group of four with a reservation. Restaurant didn't seem overly crowded. My kobe burger was good, and others enjoyed salmon. Bread and salads were also tasty. It just took a really long time for drinks, then a long time for the bread to come out, then a long time for the salads to come out. I understand... More

My wife and I planned our first visit to this establishment for our 34th wedding anniversary. I was hoping for something quiet and a table a bit out of the main stream of foot traffic. I mentioned this to the person who took my reservation on the phone well in advance and she said no problem they can accommodate my... More

After a very busy day at a crowded event it was perfect to stop by for a quiet dinner. We ate at the bar, game was on, and Sandy was delightful. I had the salmon on the cedar and and it was divine! Dan enjoyed the lobster risotto. We found the prices and quality were on par and would highly... More

We had our company Holiday party here and overall we had a good experience. Our waitress was outstanding, Debbie. Except for runners she did everything......We enjoy the food here and thought it would be nice to treat our party. I have to say it was extremely expensive. If your going there for dinner you'll be fine, as the old adage... More

This restaurant is OK for a special occasion, or to impress someone, but it's a "once a year" visit. Every aspect of the service was very slow...waiting for drinks...waiting to order food...waiting for food to be served...and waiting for the bill. The dining experience took over two hours. The food was good but dinner is extremely high priced. Atmosphere was... More

Attended for a business lunch. Party of about 14 or 15. Holy Toledo, the service was slower than I've ever experienced at any restaurant in my life. Entire meal took over two and a half hours. Completely inconsiderate and rude to have such absurd wait times for a meal. Building is beautiful and historic looking. Don't go looking on the... More

For our large party of 13 we had a room of our own reserved well in advance. In retrospect 13 people were simply too many for the space/ table provided and seating/table ware was extremely cramped making dinner a chore to eat. We had several appetizers, thoroughly enjoying the charcuterie and artisan cheese plates. My Maine sea scallops were properly... More

My wife and I chose to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary at the Mount Hill Tavern based on recommendations from some of our friends. Upon arrival, we were seated in a drafty part of the dining room. The receptionist did move us to a better table when asked. Having never been to the Mount Hill Tavern prior to this evening,...
