Today is Wednesday and the place was closed. Just a recording saying the hours. If they are on vacation it would have been nice that they are closed during the holidays.

I like good barbecue and I've had my fair share of really great barbecue. I lived in Texas for 4 1/2 years, a place where they pride themselves on their barbecue, claim they have the best, and have annual cookoffs for BBQ. But I've recently had the absolute best barbecue I've had anywhere. Where? At Shakedown BBQ in Grantville, Pennsylvania.... More

We went to Shakedown today and I got the pulled pork sandwich. It's was overfilling with meat and was very tasty! It wasn't the absolute best pork I've had but it was still really good! Service was quick and plenty of seating. It's definitely worth checking out!

My friends and I go to Shakedown before heading to the casino, and the place just does not disappoint. This time around for the Derby, my friends had the Tres Hombres (Pulled Pork, Sausage, and Brisket) sandwich while I played it safe with the Brisket. Well, I should have went the Hombres way, it was a huge sandwich overflowing with... More

I have to say that this is the BEST authentic BBQ place in the Harrisburg Area. My wife and I went around 530 -600pm and we were the only ones there. They have 6 or 7 tables that seat 2-4, so it is kind of tiny. The owner told us about the menu and his food and he and his... More

BBQ in Grantville, outside of Hershey... yeah right. No really somebody smack me. This place is really, really good BBQ. I've been to Kansas City, Texas, NC. This place is doin' it right. I had the BBQ Sampler which is brisket (great), ribs (meaty goodness), and pulled pork (great). The meat was tender almost ready to fall apart good. Brisket... More

We visited on Saturday afternoon around 3 pm. I thought it would be better to go outside of typical dining hours due to the reviews stating busyness and lack of seating. We were seated and served very quickly. It is a small venue, but the food and service is amazing! The portion sizes are large, so your money is well... More

This place was found on advisor. The food was very good, large portions. The food is a little creasy so be careful not to eat too much or you may know about it, you will feel it. Excellent service. The place is very small, 4 tables for 4. You need to order at the counter and sit inside if room... More

What can I say? We love BBQ so after reading the reviews we knew we couldn't go wrong with this place. All the kind words past reviewers left were true... and thank goodness I read the reviews because our GPS did not take us to the correct location (So we quite literally followed the smoke). It's in the middle of... More

Our first visit won't be our last - food was unbelievably delicious! I ordered the pulled pork sandwich which was on a huge roll & piled up with meat. It was perfectly smoked, tender & juicy. My husband had the brisket which was perfectly cooked. We ordered a small order of French fries (seasoned), which was more than enough for... More
