The restaurant provides good comfort food in a decent location. Seems to be the best restaurant in Frackville. The service was friendly and helpful, and the food prices were inexpensive.

Stopped by on our way home from Gettysburg. Dave had meat loaf and I had the turkey croquettes. Both were so bland, it was really pathetic. No seasoning al all; I mean NONE. Let's talk about the server; she was acting as if she were stoned. She went to her tables and asked "You guys want anything?" Seriously?? Don't bother... More

Love to stop at this old diner as often as possible on trips back and forth to PA on hwy 81. Whether it be a sandwich, a cooked meal or a piece of delicious pie I am never disappointed! Service is great and the ladies behind the counter are always friendly. Fun fact: each booth has a table jukebox. Fun... More

We happen to find this place as we were lost and took the wrong exit by mistake. When you walk into the first door you smell a strange smell of French Vanilla. We ate on the diner side and had a male wait staff. Not too friendly and didn't know if the soup had onions in it or now. He... More

We stopped in for supper after seeing a few huge billboards on I-81 North. Since it was just after 8 PM, I asked if there was plenty of time before their 9 PM closing and was assured they were quick. I ordered the turkey croquets since I like to try new items. These turned out quite good although they must... More

We just stopped for dessert after a road trip on Rt 81. I had OK coconut cream pie, brother had cherry pie and ice cream and other bro had teaberry ice cream. All OK. I loved the charm and nostalgia of the diner part. It was quiet and not crowded. When I went to the rest room, I saw the... More

We weren't impressed with the Dutch Kitchen. The restaurant is a diner with a larger restaurant grafted on in back. We initially went into the diner, but service was nonexistent, so we went into the restaurant where the service was significantly improved. The restaurant brags about its place in Roadfood, but we didn't see the ham casserole or corn bread... More

We had the chicken pot pie casserole and the Nordic Haddock. We'd give the haddock a C and the pot pie a B-. Atmosphere and service fine, they just need to spiff up the food.

I must say service at this restaurant was very fast. We were served canned soup and salad with moldy vegetables, can't imagine how long they've been in the fridge. The salad was replaced when we pointed that out. Other stuff we ordered (potato pancakes, fish) was cooked from frozen products you normally buy at a grocery store and was probably... More

We've been stopping here for years. Very convenient right off Rt 81. Just what a little diner should be. Service has always been friendly & prompt. Had breakfast Sunday morning. Homefries were sliced very thin & were excellent. Had a side of Scrapple just to see what it was. Ground up sausage & crackers & sliced like meatloaf - very... More
