Whenever my husband and I travel through this area we stop at the Dutch Kitchen....we lovingly call it "Mom's". We have had a few home cooked meals here, but delight in the homemade desserts. Today I had the banana cake with maple nut (Leiby's) ice cream. My husband had cheese cake with strawberries. Delish! We always have delightful waitresses. I... More

Ate there on a Friday evening and had read yelp reviews about their amazing salad bar and delicious bread.....but we didn't have either one! The salad bar is now a display for products they have for sale and we were never offered bread, nor were 3 of the 4 tables surrounding us, finally a table of "regulars" arrived and bread... More

when I did the last survey I gave the wrong name. The restaurant I ate at and enjoyed was the Dutch Kitchen in Frackville, Pennsylvina. I ate dinner there and the next morning I ate breakfast . GREAT MEALS both times.

Stopped in here as a lunch break from I-81 travel. An unassuming place on the main drag of a clearly declining town. Restaurant on the outside, diner style on the inside but there is a nice dining room if you prefer. We just had sandwiches but they were really good (except for the French fries which were soggy and to... More

This place serves classic diner food and it is all cooked home-style from scratch. Great turkey dinners, pot pie and meatloaf. Someone is always baking homemade pies that are just wonderful. Breakfasts are special too with real potato homefries. Don't miss the homemade white bread with your meal or as toast with breakfast! There is a large dining room but... More

If you find yourself in Frackville for whatever reason, you can really improve the trip by eating at The Dutch Kitchen. I went on the Stern's recommendation and was not disappointed. The food was hot and tasty, served by a perky lady who was fine as a morning person can be. Our sunny-side-up eggs were perfect. I will definitely return... More

The restaurant provides good comfort food in a decent location. Seems to be the best restaurant in Frackville. The service was friendly and helpful, and the food prices were inexpensive.

Stopped by on our way home from Gettysburg. Dave had meat loaf and I had the turkey croquettes. Both were so bland, it was really pathetic. No seasoning al all; I mean NONE. Let's talk about the server; she was acting as if she were stoned. She went to her tables and asked "You guys want anything?" Seriously?? Don't bother... More

Love to stop at this old diner as often as possible on trips back and forth to PA on hwy 81. Whether it be a sandwich, a cooked meal or a piece of delicious pie I am never disappointed! Service is great and the ladies behind the counter are always friendly. Fun fact: each booth has a table jukebox. Fun... More
