I was here for an after-funeral luncheon with family. Great, if not tight-fitting, little place to have a nice meal. It's funny, because I live in area where there are at least 20 of these revolution-period inns turned restaurant and it reminded me of at least 6 of them. I felt quite at home, as I am sure you will,... More

That's right; no vegan, gluten-free, labeled local or organic nonsense. Just fresh food prepared well and served by a courteous and knowledgable staff. If that's enough to keep the pretentious, self-righteous idiots away, I'll eat here all the time!

What they cook, they cook well; their steak and seafood dishes are quite nice. BUT---the menu is straight out of the 1960s; if you're looking for a healthy option, they don't even have as much as a pasta dish that could be ordered without meat. They say they have vegetarian options available, but what you get if you ask for... More

Better then my wife and I expected, had a very nice anniversary dinner. Food and service were the top of the line.

Food was decent. Little pricey for some of the items (12 bucks for a small bowl of kids pasta?!? Even pure Italian restaurants don't charge that) and they need a clue on how to serve wine...two people at our party of 13 ordered red – with came out as cold as the white wines that were also ordered...the server said,... Will NEVER eat here again. Stay away. Food I would not give to a dog. Family VERY disappointed in the Ships Inn. A take out pizza would have been a 100% inprovement.

We dined hear late one Saturday evening and the food was ok, nothing to rave about. For the price and the atmosphere we were anticipating a very tasty meal. So the food was underwhelming. I do not think we will go back.

The food was alright but the kitchen and staff are over loaded and cannot provide proper service in a timely manner. The best thing about this place is the building and front dining rooms. Over priced.

My husband and I went here because we had a living social voucher. We were pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent and ambiance was cool. Its a very happy old building and its age does show (hubby mentioned needing a paint job). We had a calamari app and the sauce was great with two raw oysters and these were also good.... More

The Ship Inn used to be a historic, linen-clad restaurant with excellent, traditional food. In addition to the original area, there is now a row of red vinyl-lined booths with overhead fixtures, a large, bland room behind that, and a few tables near the bar. We were seated in the back of the restaurant. Although it wasn't busy and we... More
