WOW great food

A small family owned restaurant. The owner is also a master chef and cooks with fresh local food. He takes the time to come out of the kitchen and chat with the customers. The food is incredible and the portions are huge at a great price. My wife and I always make a point to eat at George's... read more

Large portions at a very good price. Diner style. I have been there many times over the years. Visit the veteran's memorial across the street. The city did a great job.

While out and about with my lady companion, we heard of this place as a go-to-place, and thought we'd stop and try it. The sign proudly states of being around for just under a century...given the façade, perhaps so. The interior is a classic old schooled style, with a black and white checkered floor and dark wood walls. There appears... More

Had breakfast, food was well prepared, hot and yummy. My choice was their stuffed french toast, good serving and very good.

Very cool decor , great waitstaff and excellent coffee . I had corned beef hash , it was good but very salty tasting . I would go back a try something else . Cindy was a great waitress :-)

Casual, feels like a diner. Great breakfast - homemade corned beef hash (a treat, rarely find homemade hash!), eggs, nice hot crisp toast. Enormous pancakes.

I went with a party of 4 plus a 2 year old. The food was fantastic and the waitress was perfect. She made dining with a 2 year old bearable and dare I say, pleasant. If we're ever in the area again we will definitely be stopping by.

Stopped here on our way home after Roar on the Shore 2014. Corned beef hash was excellent! Real corned beef, homemade not canned. I do not typically like corned beef hash as at most places it is not homemade like this was. Sweet potatoes pancake was delicious too. Cindy the waitress friendly and prompt. Will add this to our must... More

George's has been in Erie for many years. It's where to go especially for breakfast or lunch, for great comfort food and service. We most recently were there for breakfast, where I had superb sweet potato pancakes and the endless cup of coffee, and my guy had a typical eggs - toast- sausage - home fries breakfast. The lunch and... More
