Great Historical building with Fire House memorabilia with great food

I recently went with my daughter who goes to Gannon University on recommendation of a staff member and we were very pleased with the convenience to be able to walk there and the decor was great as my husbands family were all firefighters so the atmosphere was great. The building is a converted firehouse -- interesting decor, excellent food, service, and value. We had no trouble getting a table at about 6pm on a Saturday without a reservation.

Our first impression of the location was positive: old and charming brick building (old 19th center fire house) that had been well maintained along with a firefighter-themed interior that paid tribute to the fire fighting history in Erie. That's where the 'positive’ ended... Our waitress was uninformed and useless and was not the least bit helpful. She didn't know what... More

We celebrated our daughter's college graduation at Pufferbelly. The food is terrific and wait staff is pleasant. They were very busy the night we were there (local graduation and prom), so service was slow. But, we weren't in a hurry and the staff kept us hydrated. The history and unique aspects of the building are worth a visit, too.

The food was delicious and I highly recommend the peanut butter pie.

I recently ate @ Pufferbellys with a dear friend as we prepared to go to a near by show in the Erie Insurance Arena. I used a dining card to save a bit of money- the waitress was very helpful, she magically appeared every time our drinks were 3/4 gone. advised us on selections, explained portions and was just so... This place was a little treasure chest of a find. What a great old building with so much character and the decor inside had the kids occupied for quite sometime. It gave us a chance to enjoy our chat after dinner with relative peace! Food was very good. Waitress could use some refining. We don't answer with "What"...just poor manners.... More

I usually went here for Sunday brunch with my family, sometimes even with a group of 15-20 and they have always been accommodating. Always fresh flowers, fresh tower of fruit, omelette station, dessert station, really great options and always a great Sunday afternoon! Not to mention the history in every single inch of the area.

Stopped in on a Friday night around 7:30 and it wasn't busy, not one person at the bar, when I left I knew why it wasn't busy. I had a small draft from the bar and it was $ 3.75, which I thought was a little high. My wife had a fish sandwhich, I had a cup of soup and... More

I had lunch at Pufferbelly on French with a group of colleagues, and I was not prepared for the quality of food that was served. The food was truly amazing! I had a Fettuccini Primavera that truly shocked me. It was prepared in the traditional manner, and the beauty of the presentation was only a hint of what was to... More
