We love this restaurant! It is classy and truly a great place to go if you want top quality, delicious food that is served beautifully. Nice large windows looking out onto State and12th streets with low lighting-very relaxing indeed!

I had no idea that 1201 Kitchen had such amazing food!! They have been in the area for quite awhile now, but I just never made it a point to visit. I went their for Taco Tuesday and I can't wait to go back. Yes, it is pricey, but well worth it. Their food is unique, which is exactly what... More

We were invited here by friends picking up the tab or I probably wouldn't have chosen it. We each selected something different, and then sampled each. I have had lamb twice at other restaurants and my reaction was baaaad! Of everything I tried, it was my favorite here, altho the duck, kobi beef and fish were all very good. The... More

From the greeting to the presentation of the check, a thoroughly enjoya ble experience. Called fifteen minutes before arrival and were seated immediately. This is a "small plate" restaurant, so if you're expecting pot roast or turkey and mashed potatoes...forget it. The food is fresh, the flavors magnificent and the presentations unique. The server, Dennis, was personable, knowledgable and seemed... More

My friends took my to the 1201 kitchen. Tuesday night is taco night. If you are sitting at the bar or in the bar area you will be served two homemade tacos. The tacos were very good and not the usual taco fare. We also ordered a flight of soup, small plate wagyu beef and a scallop. All food was... More

Had dinner here for the first time with my college-age daughter here last week. The atmosphere is quite pleasant. However, the service was slow and a bit careless, and the glasses and silverware were not quite clean. I enjoyed my artic char quite well, her pork was not quite as good. A warning: the portions here are not large enough... More

My boyfriend and I have been to 1201 three times over the course of a year and have enjoyed our meals and drinks at each visit. Those complaining the the portions are small don't truly understand that portions at other restaurants are far too big at most places in this country!! I prefer not to take leftovers home because they... More

party of four, three asked for a $42 kobe steak entree. Three asked for entree to be cooked well done. Waiter said chef would not do that and we could only have it cooked up to medium rare. Personally, that is when I would have gotten up and left but we were guests so I felt it necessary to stay.... More

Plus: the entree pork belly and figs in a cauliflower cream: flavorful, sweet and savory and satisfying on an Erie winter's night The mushroom broth: simple elegant pure comfort. Once I engaged the bartenders (ate at the bar) toward the end of the meal, bartenders fun and convivial shared info about snow owls at Presqu'Isle when they found out I... More

Service is good at best. Food even less memorable. I wish it lived up to the hype... Unfortunates we not be returning.
