SUPERB!!!

We visited during a Spring Break trip. The breakfast was delicious! Omelets made as you watch from your seat inside a Silk City Dining Car. Great customer service...very welcoming!! Highly recommend as your #1 breakfast stop while in the Erie, PA area.

Stopped by for late lunch and we both got burgers and fries, which were served immediately, and were hot and tasty. We weren't going to get dessert, however I observed someone else's coconut creme pie being delivered, and we decided to share a slice. It was heavenly! I haven't had such a tasty, homemade treat like that in a long... More

This diner is the best breakfast in erie. Best pancakes I ever had.... best cheese omelet I ever had. Food is cooked right in front of you. Staff is super friendly! Feels like breakfast at home.

The old train car has a great feel for an old 1948 diner. The people were friendly and made the atmosphere much more homey. Our food was out within a few minutes of ordering and was wonderful, feel-good diner food. Definitely one of the only true old-timey diners in Erie.

Dropped by this adorable spot on a way to a hockey game at the local university. It is a bit rough looking from the outside but quaint and cozy inside. We were welcomed by several people when we sat down and the service was excellent. The chili was delicious a the burger fresh and homemade. All in all, a far... More

We stopped here for lunch today, and it was a good experience al-around. We only had fish sandwiches and french fries, but then that's diner food, right? The diner was built in 1948 and the current owners are doing a great job with it. Skip the chain restaurant and eat here! (breakfast & lunch only, closed Mondays)

Looking through reviews we decided to try this place out. It is interesting coming up to the place-going in you find a nice old fashioned diner.....the beer bacon and cheddar soup was very good, neither flavor overwhelming the other. The greek fries had a unique taste, the kick sneaks up on you (in a good way...). our server was very... More

This place has been here since 1943 and it is the real deal. These days, most diners have been so "improved" that they hardly resemble diners anymore. The LPD is small, cramped and uninsulated. However, it is also, friendly, welcoming, and filled to the brim with atmosphere. We enjoyed a delicious (huge) breakfast, served with a smile. How often do... More
