Service was bad - there was an atmosphere that if you were not a "regular", they could care less about you. Food was average at best, table was dirty when we sat down, drinks were never refilled - it even took forever to get our check to pay. The waitress was busy paying a lot of attention to friends she... More

Very.... rustic. Very nice food, lots of locals, nice friendly service. Terrific value! They have a very diverse menu and have everything from fish tacos to gereek gyros to steak. Lots of specials all the time. A busy bar scene after hours.

Awesome food... the atmosphere is a little divish but man the food makes up for it in a big way. I had the steak and the waffle type fries, would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Cheap drinks, interesting people and standard food all make this a reliable watering hole in the area. It has a local, hometown feel but is welcoming to visitors.

Service was less than average. Seems to be more of a local bar, you would have thought that they would be interested in making some money off of people that are from out of town. Instead they made you feel like you were bothering them. What they have going is that there are no other bars around. That could explain... More

My fiancé and I tried Hilltop after reading several positive reviews. However, this place was a huge disappointment. My fiancé had the Spanish Rice Bowl with shrimp (she's a vegetarian). Three bites in, she could hardly take another bite - the rice was over cooked and had an offensive aftertaste. The side of fries she ordered tasted like they were... More

This place is not much to look at from the outside. Just to prove to you that looks can be deceiving. From first glance you would stay away, but a local resident recommended this place and it did not disappoint. Food and service was excellent.

I have eaten at the Hilltop many times. Most the time I have a club sandwich with soup. The Hilltop seems to always have a choice of three soups. I always enjoy whatever soup I choose. This time I had the Beef Tips with vegetables prepared in Peanut Oil. I really enjoyed it. The wait staff is always friendly. Making... More

When we come to northern Lancaster county we stay at the Hampton Inn on the hill above the town of Ephrata Pa. Our first visit we asked the front desk about a good place to eat. They suggested without a doubt Hill Top Inn. Just about a two minute walk from the hotel. Well it wasn't good. It was GREAT!... More

While it looked somewhat decrepit on the ouside the inside of the Inn was warm and welcoming and was clearly popular with local residents. The wife and I shared a huge platter of great meatloaf (all beef) and a huge "house salad." It was almost too much to finish and delicious
