great for date night

small establishment, service efficient but not overly oppressive, huge assortment of beers. As 'old' people (approaching 60) we like a place without a lot of loud background music and a place that isn't designed to be noisy. There is music but not too loud, the atmosphere is cozy. Wow, so many beers that it is hard to choose. Flights are available for multiple tastes. My palate is changing so I am not drinking the Belgium beers, lambics, IPAs, flavored beers, etc. There are many on tap and an unbelievable selection of bottles. I find myself drinking more pilsners and lagers, especially from eastern Europe, which are not represented. The... More

Farm to Table food at its finest! Everything on the menu that I have tried has just been wonderful- the burger, scallops, cheese plates.... Our favorite is the Eggs Benedict served during brunch.

Went here last night for the second time and enjoyed it. First time we went, we left because we had our kids with us and thought it was too pricey for a family dinner. We started with the shrimp appetizer- which was pretty decent. The real stunner here is the Trapp Burger. $14 gets you a gourmet burger complete with... More

Trappe Door has a great tap and bottled beer selection but id very price for the local area. The food is decent but portion were somewhat small and again, a little price for Emmaus. Live music at times is a nice touch.

I came here with a partner company after work on a Monday night. We had a party of 13-15 and arrived around 6pm. It's a pretty small place, definitely with the typical feel/atmosphere of a gastropub, but they were able to set a few tables next to each other to accommodate our large group. Our servers were friendly and took... More

Date night dinner, late on a Friday night. Crowd was surprisingly sparse for a Fri night ~9. Particularly surprising given the food and service were fantastic. Honestly, one of the best meals I've had. This is a legitimate foodie, farm to table place. I had one of the evenings specials - "Pan roasted halibut, jalapeno sweet potato puree, sunchoke and... My husband and I love trying new places. I am rather picky as I like finer dining, but occasionally will settle while on road trips. We were on our way home after a long drive, and we were unfamiliar with the area so I utilized an app on my iPhone to help us find somewhere close by to eat. I... More

We visited this restaurant for the first time last weekend and couldn't believe how crowded the parking lot was when we arrived for our 7 PM reservation. We had to create our own parking spot since there was NO empty space in the entire lot. When we entered the restaurant, we were really surprised with how many people were in... More

We've eaten here numerous times over the years, and I always leave with a smile on my face. And not just because of the beer (which is ample, and nicely presented). The service is always attentive and helpful. And the food is always interesting, tasty and fairly priced. The atmosphere is convivial and warm. Our recent meal included oxtail poutine... More
