With a very unassuming exterior and modest interior, the Trapp Door is an amazing place with fantastic food and a great selection of craft beers. The menu has very good variety. The Braised short rib pierogies are a great starter. The meat & cheese choices are delicious and can pair very well with the beers. The staff are very friendly... More

With so many restaurants to choose from, you'll make no mistake by including this one on your list to visit in Emmaus. Small, dark, intimate interior belies the huge beer and drink selection and the vastly wonderful menu that should meet any taste. Visited recently on a mid-week evening and found the service and food to be truly outstanding. Hard... More

We were in the Lehigh Valley for a game and checked Tripdadvisor for a good dinner possibility. We stopped in early Saturday, 5ish, and found this place to be rather exceptional. I've been past this place hundreds of times and mistook it for a "hole-in-the-wall" beer joint. It is anything but as we soon found out. Very nice tap selection,... More

This was once one of my favorite places to eat but after taking my wife there for her birthday we'll never return. The mussels tasted like they were in a broth of burnt pork and dishwater (not an exaggeration) , the rubbery scallops had the same taste. My pork was so so, served on top of burnt stuffing. Oddly the... More

We stopped here for dinner with our son, daughter-in-law, and grandsons. Very nice, intimate atmosphere. Superb beer listing. Started with smoked goat cheese fondue and handmade soft pretzels. Wow! Great! ... and our server, Melissa, brought out a 2nd round of pretzel bites. For one of us, dinner was cast iron grilled shrimp - (delicious and perfectly done.) Two of... More

A very local feel to a warm and friendly restaurant. Dark wood and low lighting offer a very warm feeling and the food is outstanding, yes outstanding. Calamari and the "not your kids fries" were very nice. The pate was a little smokey for me but my wife enjoyed it. Then we split the tomato salad and finished with the... More

We eat out a lot so don't tend to hit the same place frequently; It has been about a year since we were to the Trappe door; This time we wanted to try a dinner and we were not disappointed! We shared the short rib pierogies...very tasty and the beurre blanc sauce was great! I tried the chilled peach soup... More

Very nice rotating selection of beers, friendly service, tasty food! Great atmosphere: no TVs, live music on many nights, and a friendly mix of people. Perfect for a quick beer, beers and an appetizer, or a full dinner.

Found this place doing a Yelp search while staying at a B&B in the area. What a great find! Gourmet selection of meat and cheeses, food made with local ingredients and what a selection of craft beers (mostly Belgian style) on tap and in the bottle, with a knowledgeable wait staff to help you select something new to try based... The menu is really interesting and the food was good but when I looked at the prices I thought I was in NYC or Philly. I'm surprised that a place so small and out if the way and not in a big city was as expensive as it was. It's certainly in the wrong $$$ category in trip advisor. They... More
