My husband and I went to dinner for the first time last Friday night, upon entering it was one large room w/ a bar and several tables. We went because of the reviews. We ordered several cheeses and meats as a starter, not knowing how much we were going to get, but it was a nice surprise and allowed us... More

The Trapp Door Gastropub Emmaus PA The draft beer selection was short about 8 good beers, leaning toward multiple porters/stout styles and only one IPA. There is an extensive bottle list. Making it a great choice for hopheads and real craft beer lovers. Not a Bud in sight! We ate mostly appetizers: Braised short rib pierogies, with porter cheddar, mushroom... More

Second annual large dinner party at this hole-in-the wall fabulous restaurant. I love that the outside is unassuming. It's a delightful secret - the world opens up inside. Had the best beer ever from their limitless varieties available. The vegetable empanada was one of the best vegetarian entrees ever. Farm to table, too. The only damper on the thrill of... More

I recently went to this restaurant for dinner. There are only around 10 small tables in the restaurant, around a large bar area with bar stools. The restaurant was fairly noisy, with some live music. It was somewhat difficult to converse at times. The menu had one vegetarian choice for an entree, and other interesting choices that we all enjoyed.... More

We were out and about on a Saturday. We drove by and decided to stop for lunch. The decor is warm and inviting, a nice cozy place to relax and enjoy a craft beer and a meal. We had the pork belly sandwich and the soup and grilled cheese with pesto. It was all outstanding. They have many craft beers... More

The Trapp Door is the only restaurant of its kind in the Lehigh Valley. Leave it up to quaint Emmaus to house this comfortable, rustic, Belgian Trappist-inspired eatery. The beer selection was excellent, and the food was also excellent by local standards, even down to the homemade ketchup served with the frites. For locals, some of the beer (sold by... More

They are trying to do something different in Emmaus. Menu items will appeal to "foodies" - not your typical bar menu but definitely a bar type atmosphere. It was pretty crowded and noisy when we went on a Saturday night and they had a one man music show playing with some pretty good blues tunes. The music was too loud... More

Was here during this restaurant's previous life and liked it, figured we'd give it a shot in its new life, and we still liked it! We aren't big drinkers, but the beer selection is great. Since it was a cool fall night, I figured I'd try out the on-draft Southern Tier Warlock imperial stout brewed with pumpkins (based on bartender... More
