T.J.Rockwell was a family favorite for a number of years. Even had family drive nearly 2 hours to visit just so we could enjoy a meal there together. Then we moved from the area in 1996. Relocated back to area in 2003 and looked forward to visiting Rockwell's again. Over next couple of years noticed a big change in quality... More

My wife and I went with a group of friends for dinner. We sat in the inside dining room. Service was fine, staff was friendly but the food was subpar. My wife had a gluten free burger which she enjoyed. I had a bowl of crab soup and a beef sandwich. The soup lacked flavor. I’ve eaten better soup out... More

Parking lot too crowded for comfort! Cars zigzagging everywhere in an unorganized stone lot. Decided to sit out on deck but seated along a path where all customers and servers travel. Our table and chairs were bouncing and shaking all over, it was not enjoyable. Our food and drinks literally bounced off the table. After no one noticing our predicament... More

First off, I'm not a big fan of bars, bar food, or bar atmosphere. Seen one, you've seen them all. T J Rockwell's (or, "Rockwell's", as it's known to the locals) is no exception. There's a checklist for all the bars in the Mount Joy/E-Town area: Separate dining area for families and old folks: check. Mug club: check. Surly-looking regulars... More

Rockwell's has long been one of my favorite local casual restaurants, and I'm hoping to get there more frequently since we are moving to within 1 mile. The dining room variety is unmatched, with dining at the very large bar, in the indoor dining room, in the outdoor "pavilion dining room" (open on three sides) or under umbrellas on the... More

Nice renovations, but the food was just okay. I shared a small order of rhino fries... not nearly as good as they used to be. I also had the crab cake sandwich - it was almost all filler, very little crab meat. Appears they are cutting corners on the quality of food / drinks in order to pay for the... More

Great deck. OK food. Pricey. Service is ok....drinks are watered down. Wish the happy hour prices applied to the deck and not just the bar. New indoor deck makes both outside deck and inside restaurant seem crowded.

While they updated the place with the Annex and doubled the size of the inside bar their service is piss poor at best most times. Bartenders can only make one drink at a time and the wait time between drinks is terrible. The hostesses continue to walk diners thru the bar area and do not care one bit if they... More

Typical American food will taste good here: appetizers, burgers, etc... don't go for anything Thai , etc.. I know its' the trend for restaurants to put stir fry's and exotic foods on the menu but if you can't do it well don't do it.

Always receive good food with a lot of variety on the menu. Great for eating outside. Service can be slow so don't go if you're in a hurry.
