Not worth the trip

I used to love this pizza years ago, however, those times are long gone. Order here occasionally with hopes the pizza would be as good as it once was. I gave up. The stromboli is okay and the antipasto is pretty good (can't mess it up). People are pretty nice but I am growing tired of charity... read more

This place is awful! Stopped in for an antipasto salad and a few slices. It was the tiniest salad ever...for $8! There was barely any meat or cheese on the salad! It was filled with old brown lettuce! Pizza was undercooked and tasted like bland dough! Prices are just outrageous! Waste of money and very disappointing!

This place and its expensive prices are ridiculous.. their pizza is so hit n miss...its always par-baked and tastes like the wet soapy rag they use to wipe the counters with..I can't stand a business that expect$ you to just pay$ and not say anything..lol ..um,how bout get your greasy face out of my freshly showered face and I'll pay... We were pleasantly surprised with the great tasking pumpkin ravioli and linguini with clam sauce. We also enjoyed the pizza. The service was very friendly. The only disappointment was the surcharge for paying with a credit card, for the classy dining table service that they are promoting, the credit card surcharge is a bit tacky!

I ate here with a large family group. Most people ordered pizza, stromboli, etc. No complaints from anyone, mostly compliments. The tavern pizza was awesome...much better ( less greasy, crust cooked better) than Senape's. The stromboli was huge and filled nicely with good quality cold cuts. The surprise for me was how delicious the pumpkin ravioli with a brown butter... More

We all got chicken franchise and it was horrible. Tasted like they put 9 cups on lemon juice on it and we didn't say much about it because we didn't want to be rude and they did nothing about it. Didn't even say sorry. Horrible boss

If you are hungry for Stromboli this is your place! They have the BEST STRAMBOLI in the entire area and their Pizza is like it was 35 years ago...Delish! Very Good and Consistent! Keep it up and you will be around for another 30 years!

The first time I went I ordered a cheese steak, the steak was dry, I had asked for peppers onions and sauce, it had none of the above except for steak. I figured I would give them another shot, I ordered the mozzarella and chicken salad, for $8.00 the size was disappointing, it was the size of a house salad... More

For an area like the greater Hazleton area with Italian restaurants on almost every block, you would expect at least passible food. The pizzas are just Ok and the chicken and veal dishes are very disappointing. With all the other choices in the area, pass on this one.

I can't speak to the experiences of previous reviewers, but I have never had a bad meal from this place. And I think the pizza is great! I love the crust and it's always hot and fresh. Maybe not the best cheesesteaks but I grew up in Philly, so nothing compares. They also have a great selection of beers, local... More
